Joe’s been pissing me off tbh. Yeah he (fairly) criticizes zibby and Miller, but whenever trouba or lindgren are too slow/shit on defense it’s always “nothing they can do” or “the Rangers aren’t playing defense”
I was super wary of Joe when he took over for JD for a couple seasons. I’d make fun of him for always trying to insinuate a puck may have been deflected before going in. The same way we all feel about Sam is how I feel about Joe now. Can’t imagine hearing anyone else talk about the deflections that may or may not have happened. Love this guy.
He does definitely call out the team and the refs when they both suck lol

Took me a season after JD,but love JM just as much.
“A thing of beauty”. That’s his catch phrase and I hear people use it in the league too. Joe Mic has won me over the years. He can call out a team without sounding savage. He does it the right way.

When Joe said at the conclusion of the game that they can’t keep doing this to their goalies night in and out, it’s unreasonable and pointed out they’re doing everything they can I loved it.
The middle finger to half this fan base bitching about zigor was glorious.
I like when Joe calls someone “a hard nosed player”. That’s his highest praise.
Two things.
1 – Usually Joe is happy to ignore Rangers’ problems. He is especially loathe to call out certain players that warrant it.
2 – I don’t know about you, but I learn nothing about hockey from listening to his commentary. It’s all filler. The weird thing is I have seen him on non-MSG broadcasts be more informative – so I guess this is not on him but MSG. In any case, I don’t enjoy listening to it.

Loved hearing him call out the team in the first today. He seemed to take it personally that they didn’t show up on time and I was 100% here for that passion.
The way him and sam were ripping into them today brought a smile to my face. They’re fans just like us.
He’s really disgusted with them and I appreciate him expressing that.
