2. The Giants defense is “ soft.” Tackling properly can hurt :::: wrapping uo a runners legs with your head down. You have to be willing to take it. The Giants all try to tackle high or just bring a hart hit with I arm extension at all they are cowards. Bunin and Phillips tackle right. No one else

3. Foundation? You mean a losing foundation. Lawrence and Thomas weren’t even Schoen’s picks. His picks were Neal, Banks, JMS, etc. he has made too many bad decisions and made the team worse the longer he’s been in power. If Schoen and Daboll are with the organization next year I won’t be along with many other fans. Getting embarrassed this long has that effect, if ownership don’t care how historically bad this team is then why should we.

4. What is the offense
   I’ve line core again? What is the defensive core? Who do you like on the O-line? Thomas? And who else? And on the D line you like Dex and who else?

Schoen brought us an 8 sack edge rusher for $30M a year and I said from the day it was announced that was a bone head move and here we are 12 games into the season and he’s on pace for 9 sacks and his presence is barely felt. Nobody ever talks about how he had a monster game and Kayvon getting a second contract would be malpractice and a fire able offense. Schoen has been giving out horrible contracts from the jump Waller,Jones, now Burns

17. Patricia I think your a bit soft on the coach and GM……….. once they got rid of the fabric of the locker room it was a unstable effect in there. Barkley, Mckinney , Julian Love, the DT Williams, who went to Seattle and one other player who skips my mind. George Young would have figured out how to keep at least 3 of the 5 players I mentioned. those 5 were the fabric of that locker room. that would simply would not have allowed Neighbors to appear for an interview in that fashion. The Chicago Bears put on their big boy pants today , in moving off their Head coach as I commend them. Patricia whats happens ? they pick a QB and it doesn't work out then a new regime will be here with a QB that's not theirs…… repeating the same wash . spin & repeat cycle. by the way Chicago in their proud 105 yr history have NEVER changed coaches in mid season… until today.. I commend them……… something funny…… they actually moved off a coach once in midseason………. it was Papa Bear George Halas…… who relieved himself in mid season….. as he reported for duty in world war 2.

    Most fanboys don’t know this, but Joe won a Super Bowl, was SB MVP, and went 2-2 in the playoffs against Brady (all in New England).

20. Pat, you have to be a little less optimistic about this regime. I'm sorry, you are going to soft on your criticism. Case in point: Our GM LOST a game himself, thru no fault of the players by not having a healthy replacement kicker, for a game. What POSSIBLE reason can you or he give for NOT having elevated his PS guy, or gone out brought in a healthy kicker off the steet. I can only think of 2 reasons- 1) he had NO Cap space in which case he's a terrible GM for being in that predicament that early in the season, 2) he thinks he knows best and can count on "hoping Gano can get thru it". WRONG on both counts. Its tough enough to wi games against any team, let alone to have your GM DIRECTLY lose on for you. That is UNTHINKABLE. Do you think Mike Tomlin wouldnt go into his GM's office and knock sense into him. Here we accept all that is fed to us. Players know everything is allowable, why get hurt then to get Cut Sorry Pat… the regime must GO. if yuo were paying out of your pocket it wouldn't sit right.

24. Have we learned nothing from the Chicago Bears? The Giants will likely not win another game this season and have the first or second pick in the draft. You do not allow a head coach and GM on their last legs draft your next QB or first overall pick. It would be the height of arrogance.

25. Hate to restart again but it's disheartening! I got some doubts this staff and GM can right this ship since it's been all down hill for the last 2 years! 26. Ugly? Nah it's glorious. We're on pace to be the absolute worst team in the NFL. This "should" be Schoen and Dabolls last season. Schoen, until this season, did nothing but draft and sign FA busts. Daboll seems to have lost the locker room. Lets all pray for a rebuild done the right way

29. I really don't think anything Mara said before Jones was cut has any relevance now. My personal sense is that doing that was the plug being pulled on everyone, and that both Schoen and Daboll will be spaced after the final game. Lame ducks. Of course there are two divergent philosophies on drafting a franchise QB: the one the Bears follow where you always keep the old coach and then fire him after the rookie year, and the one the Redskins used last year of kicking everyone out right away once the high draft pick is a fact, so it can then be used as attractive bait for prospective GMs and head coaches. Both can work, certainly, despite what the Bears may have led you to believe, but it's the pulling the plug move of exorcizing the QB and essentially tanking that leads me to believe the Giants are doing the other thing. If they were keeping Daboll they couldn't have done this, because Daboll needs to win some games to prevent the barbarians from invading.
    As for Schoen, you have Daniel Jones on the bench in Minnesota, Barkley weekly producing more yards than the entire Giants team for the Eagles in spectacular fashion and XM leading the league with seven INTs while the Giants have one. He's done. GMs have been fired for far less than just one of these things. It's early, but seriously. The man has been a wrecking ball.

33. Houston kept firing head coaches until they got it right. Daboll has lost the team. What's going to change for next year? Are you going to draft a quarterback that last year you would've passed on, and that's going to fix everything? And Gettleman should've been let go with Shurmur.

34. Again Pat, Eli Manning did not go 2-8, get cut due to an injury clause and general incompetence and suck for 5/6 years before the Giants got rid of Coughlin. These are not at all the same circumstances. They cut the starting QB. That is the first step of sweeping change, and you can book it. If it wasn't they wouldn't have cut Daniel Jones. Daboll needed him there to have any chance at eeking out enough wins to survive.
    It's a lie that it takes five years to flip a franchise. Just look at what Wahington was able to do this year with a completely new team assembled in one offseason, a new head coach, a new GM and a rookie QB. And they've slowed down recently because teams have adjusted. But even if they don't win any more games, 7-10 is still pretty OK under those circumstances. If I told you I just described the 2025 Giants, would you still want to keep the old regime?

    It's a results based business and the Giants have now won eight games in almost two years. If Washington win one more game now they will have you doubled up. It's just not good enough from anyone involved.

Daboll coaching decisions destroyed the team he the one that started evan neal at right tackle despite neal being a left tackle in college daboll the one that controls the depth chart,the decisions on who plays and doesn't play is decided by the head coach not the gm .so you can't blame schoen for this, this is dabolls fault.joe schoen drafted the right prospects for this team and daboll ruined them .and the only reason schoen got thibideaux instead of adian Hutchison is because the lions had already took Hutchison of the board in the 2022 draft so schoen had to get the 2nd most projected pass rusher in 2022 draft and that was kayvon thibideux joe schoen only did what most gm woud do which is draft the best need available .joe schoen wanted Hutchison but he couldn't get him the lions already took him.joe schoen has done a good job as gm he drafted the right players to fit the scheme of oc mike kafka offense but daboll took play calling duties from Kafka and sabotaged schoen and kafka brilliant vision for the wr personnel 💯 daboll needs to leave he sabotaged this team.joe schoen needs to stay

Patricia, the NFL requires an authoritarian head coach who specializes in psychological warfare because you need heavy discipline, attention to detail and most importantly, head games for motivation. Brian Daboll doesn't do enough of any of this stuff, and I have no reason he will ever change. I believe you're off base about retaining Daboll.
