Lightning recall goaltender Matt Tomkins from Syracuse

  2. His numbers are pretty awful in the AHL and he wasn’t great last year, but I’m desperate for JBB to try something new and nobody has been on waivers since JoJo last shit the bed.

    He can’t be much worse than JoJo.

  3. Tomkins did successfully stop Matthews from hitting his 70th goal last season. Something to be said for that.

  4. I take it back, I’d stick with Jojo. I feel very confident Tomkins is not the answer to our issues

  5. I think JoJo’s fine. He is just turning out to be a goalie who can sit for as long as Vasy’s backups are gong with out looking hella rusty.

    I would guess with it being a back to back with travel, and only one road game, they probably had Vasy stay in Tampa so he didn’t have to fly out for a game is wasn’t going to play in. Plus, if JoJo stinks, you can pull him and put in Tomkins without having to worry about how that affects the back to back
