  1. Help us get to 350+ likes & 30K subs! Mets fans, what’s YOUR thoughts on where NYM, NYY & BOS potentially stand in these sweepstakes? What’s YOUR confidence level in NYM landing Juan?

  2. The Mets fan in me is so pessimistic about this. I want Soto so bad. If he signs elsewhere, I want it clear as day he’s leaving money on the table. I just don’t want to hear about Cohen’s money this or that if we lose out…we need people to actually come here.

  3. If we don’t sign Soto or any other players that are in the top tier than cohen and the Mets need to launch an investigation into mlb lol. I want the Mets to make something happen. The dodgers are getting so much more better. Cohen stop sitting around like the trade deadline MAKE MOVESSSSSSS

  4. Perhaps too much is being made on Juan Soto. No doubt a great player that can help bring a team to a pennant. But at what cost ? Can be risky as ball players can go a full season with an injury. The 2nd best deal would be to contract Alonso and use the savings to get some PITCHING which the Mets desperately need. Perhaps that would be the safer thing to do. Time will tell.

  5. Ill bet anything Steinbrenner isnt letting Soto walk to rivals that easily by topping out at only $550 million..Yankee fans will slaughter him..I THINK PEOPLE ARE PLAYING GAMES DRIVING THE PRICE HIGHER AND HIGHER..Everybody knows absolutely no way possible Soto only gets $550 million..You know the least you gotta be at is $600 and then the bidding begins…Cmon its all nonsense

  6. BREAKING NEWS: Soto’s Agent Scott Boras just informed the New York Yankees he won’t be Returning back to the Bronx. Red Sox are now the favorites to the land the super star. 14 years $660 Million. Yankees offered 13 years $570 Million . Soto To the Red sox will be announced before the winter meetings according to Soto’s representatives.

Vlad jr, Devers, Soto will team up next year.
    Boston Redsox are back

  7. Mets are getting played is my take….Soto might end up in either Boston or the Dodgers. I am hoping the Mets do no land Soto, not because he wouldn't immediately help the team, but the fact that no player is worth that type of long-term risk. If he gets injured…and just to the Mets luck he would, this would be far worse than the Bobby Bonilla contract. If you look at the 90's and early 00-'s the Wilpon's would overspend on Big Free Agent players and it never worked out. What Stearns is good at is building a team with a modest budget and getting a nucleus of players that are good enough to win. I believe the Mets have plenty of talent in the minors: Baty, Mauricio, Acuna, Williams, Gilbert, Clifford, Benge, and have Tidwell/Sproat ready right now. This is the most depth of talent the Mets have ever had in a very long time. The Mets have good roster space and flexibility to sign these players long term and to keep building on the youth they have and the minor league system that keeps improving every year. What the Mets need to be doing is signing strong bullpen arms and getting a few starters in free agency. You have to build through pitching, look at Atlanta as they have been doing this for decades. Sproat is the real deal and getting Crochet in a trade (abeit you lose some of your minor league depth, but you get a young cannon of an arm anyway) would be the start of a formidable young pitching staff with Senga, Crochet, Sproat, Peterson, and perhaps again a few arms like Max Fried, Jack Flaherty, Corbin Byrnes, or Walker Buehler to finish the staff off. Anyway you look at it, with or without Soto, the Mets are going to be great but I will take not having to worry about Soto getting hurt in a few years for the Mets to spread that wealth to other resources. Mets still have a shot at Soto, but I remain skeptical.
