  1. False hope…yes! Yet they still can't help but make us part of their conversation daily. It's sad really. Move on and focus on the Teams who have a shot. Make your money elsewhere!

  2. There's no such thing as tanking in the NFL, at least for the players and coaches. And what kind of loser mentality would that require if it were?
I'm just going to cheer for every win they can muster with Rush at the helm.
High draft picks are not a guarantee at all, and great players can be found at every pick, in every round, in every year.
    So… Go Cowboys.

  3. So, here's reason for False Hope (or, as I like to call it, "Optimism" 🙂)

*Struggling Bengals, at home, following min-bye week: Winnable
    *Panthers are the Panthers: Winnable
    *Bucs at home: Winnable
*Eagles, on the road, probably still playing for home field throughout playoffs: A Bridge Too Far (even for us False Hopers lol)
    *Free-falling Commanders at home: Winnable

Not quite running the table, but pretty darn close.

Keep in mind, as Fish says, we'll be getting 5 top-line, Pro Bowl-grade players back for this stretch run. There's also been the emergence of an actual running game (gasp!) and consolidation of the O-line. So team — even w/o Dak — will still be strongest it's been since season began.

So I'm going to drink another glass of my own Kool-Aid, and call the glass half-full. 😁 Go Cowboys!

  4. All this winning has done is keep the Cowboys from getting a top 10 pick. They will not make the playoffs, but neither will they have a bad enough record to get inside the top 10 in next years draft. Anyone that thinks this team can compete with a playoff team is not paying attention. They beat Washington who is struggling and they beat the 2 win Giants. I would like to point out that they barely beat both teams.

  5. Boy, do the Cowboys need a rooting guide: To tank or not to tank, to get a new coach or keep the old one, root for Cooper Rush? Root for Dak? Root for Trey Lance? Go with or without a running back? Burn it down or build it up? But here's the reason the hope is false: What joy seeing the Cowboys go to the playoffs and then lose in the first round? Maybe just move on to the next season and skip the interim disappointment.

  6. False hope, you mean no hope. This team is going to be bad for at least 1-3 years. Jones is the best GM for the eagles, giants and Washington. Expect the cowboys to be under .500 next season. Pathetic losers, and it falls on Jones. Can’t win without Jimmy Johnson’s players and coaches….

  7. I dont care. I saw my team play 2 exciting games and got wins in process. I love the game more then I love winning. I dont understand how people want to see their team tank for a better pick which may or may not pan out. I waited 9 months to watch dallas play and if they can make games exciting and play hard and end up taking a loss i can live with it. I get it for organization to want to tank i dont see why player would want to tank or a fan want their team to tank cause they cant make playoffs, id like see the team maybe help knock another team out or just play exciting ball like last 2 games

  8. If you asked Jerrah if he had any second thoughts about not signing Henry or Barkley, he would say he likes his guys and would sign Zeke over both of them. This is why the Cowboys have won Jack shit in 30 years. Two rich buffoons who think they know football.

  9. This didn’t age well today. Cowboys are done this year and probably for the foreseeable future with Jerry at the helm. So disappointing. No reason to try to win a mother game this year. Only hurting your draft spot…
