If a team further behind in a rebuild than us wants to trade a young center I feel like that’s probably a pretty bad sign
The [conversation starts around the 19:45 mark](https://www.sportsnet.ca/podcasts/32-thoughts/empire-state-of-pressure/). Dach had a great 22/23 season, lost last season to injuries, and has struggled so much this season it makes Cozen’s struggles look minuscule in comparison. He’d basically be a Byram type trade: young talented player who is struggling right now and who had some injury trouble that contributed to their uneven development. There is risk but there could also be a considerable amount of reward.
I’m more interested as to who Kirby Dock is
Interesting idea, but where does he slot in? With Kulich playing in the middle now, feels like we have a more than enough centers as it is. Thompson, Cozens, Kulich, McLeod as options in the top 3C roles. Not sure I’d swap out any of them with Dach as it stands.
Uhhh, just saw him take a double-minor with 3mins left in a tied game. I think the Sabres have enough guys taking dumb penalities 😆
Dude, I watched him play in Chi a lot and he isn’t it. He has all the traits we already have on this team. We don’t need another talented player who drifts and disappears for whole game and lacks intensity
