The New Jersey Devils beat the New York Rangers by a score of 5-1 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY on 12/3/24.

– The NJ Devils broke their 7 game streak of surrendering the first goal.

– Jack Hughes had 2 goals and 1 assist in the game.

– Jesper Bratt had 1 goal and 3 assists.

– Dougie Hamilton finished with a goal and an assist.

– Luke Hughes had 2 assists.

– Jacob Markstrom was phenomenal, stopping 38 of 39 shots.

– The Devils are back in action Friday 12/6 against the Seattle Kraken as they begin a 5 game homestand.

  2. I'm a teacher and I tell my students anytime the Devils beat the rangers, I give 2 points extra on any test or essay they write! Problem is most of the students are rangers fans or don't care for hockey.. but they always will take/need the 2 points! LOL. What a great game!! LGD!!

  3. Keefe has this team playing hard. Night and day from Ruff. That first PK was f*ing beautiful with all the blocks. When players are willing to step in front of pucks like that, you know the team has bought in.

  8. We had no reason to fight. The Rangers, however, showed how soft they are by NOT starting a fight. If we were down by 2 or 3 and needed a spark, I’d be expecting someone to throw down

  9. The Devils didn’t even play their best game as a team and they waxed the rags. Markstrom had his best Game of the season. Top two lines were rolling. The 4th line looked good. Solid win. Now let’s please get some consistency and go on a run.

  14. I'd really like to see Bratt rewarded with an "A" on his jersey moving forward. The guy brings it game after game and always makes himself available to the media. A far cry from Palat.

  15. Ace, a dirty Rags beatdown! Thank you very much! Love to see it, but somehow I'm still annoyed with that cry baby loser broadcaster claiming Jack is playing "Instagram hockey". There's no worse fan base than cry baby Rags fans and if the shoe was on the other foot, I guarantee he would have praised any Rangers player for making a play like that

  17. Great game. Surprised at the lack of fisticuffs and, as someone else pointed out … that's really on the Rangers. They are pudding. Oatmeal.

    Re: Valiquette. He's a dunce. Time for the cone-shaped hat. Shesterkin should be more "embarrassed" about giving up 5. Also, that was such a clean breakaway – Jack could have stood there and puck-handled in front of the net another 3 seconds before the Rags caught up to him. He could have done the Kuznetzov super-slow-mo shootout move and then flown away with the arm flaps lol.

    Markstrom and Allen both at .907 save% now. Shesterkin is at .908.

  20. Valiquette is the definition of a loser. Barely an NHL’er and if they didn’t give him this mercy gig he’d be a custodian (no disrespect to custodians). Says dumb crap over and over just so anyone will notice his stupid ass.

  22. Hey Ace do you realize that Sean Avery is a jerk. He’s the one that was blocked Brodeur view during the playoffs with his hands. Then he referred to Brodeur as fatso because he didn’t shake his hand at the end of that specific playoff round.

  24. Im pumped they had such a big win. I think they played a decent game and still owned the rangers. They seem to have a knack for hunkering down when the other team seems to get some momentum.

  25. One of the first time in years Igor looked normal against us. I feel like he typically stands on his head vs us. I think he is unhappy and I love seeing all the disfunction with the Rangers. Time to get some rest and figure out how to be a better team at home.

    My answer:

    I wanted 6-0 but I'll settle with 5-1.

  37. I'm a Devils fan from Toronto. Planned a Thanksgiving trip to see family and had the opportunity to see the game at MSG. It was beautiful to see the Rangers fans pissed.

  40. I was at the game ace, we dominated on all phases of the game. Was going to throw my hat on the ice if Jack got his 3rd but unfortunately didn’t get the chance. I’ll probably be at the rock when they play again in a few weeks. LGD
