[Shams] After 16 NBA seasons, four-time All-Star Paul Millsap has retired from basketball. Millsap, the No. 47 pick in the 2006 NBA draft, spent his career with the Jazz, Hawks, Nuggets, Nets and 76ers. One of eight players all-time with 500 3-pointers, 1,000 blocks and 1,000 steals.

Maybe the best Hawks role player of all time.
Hawks legend. Enjoy Return Paul
i appreciated him a lot but still probably not as much as i should have. thank you for injecting hope into this franchise Paul
Would love to have him be a part of the Hawks organization along with Kyle Korver.
Shout out to Paul Trillsap… had no idea he’d be one of my favorite Hawks of all time.
Total stud for us . No matter what was happening you could count on a millsap middy.
The only Hawks jersey I own is a Millsap jersey.
One of the best FA signings in Atlanta history. Nice one Ferry.
Thanks for the fun times Paul! Happy retirement!!
Hawks 🐐
He’s gotta be up there among the best free agent signings in franchise history right?
I guess ISO Joe and Mutumbo might be ahead of him, but four straight all star appearances here is pretty incredible, and four straight playoff appearances to boot including several series wins.
That 2015 season was different. Only Horford is still in the league.
Was the best player on the best Hawks team. Hell of a career.

Loved watching Paul. One of my favorite hawks and an under appreciated planet around the league
Is he worth a number retirement? He may not have had quite the accolades of Joe Johnson or Horford but his vibes were so cawwwww
Hall of very good
April 9th 2017 I witnessed the best basketball game I’ve ever seen in person. Hawks down 26 against Kyrie and Lebron cavs and milsap hit a shot to send it to OT. He was nice during this version of the Hawks.
Pride and joy of Ruston, Louisana not many pro players come out of LA Tech, most notable alumni might be Terry Bradshaw and Psy Robertson. Rest easy king great career
The best player on the best Hawks team of all time. Led us in points and rebounds, was our go-to player in crunch time, and the emotional heart and soul of the team.
One of my all time favorite Hawks. Enjoy retirement!
[Also shoutout to his 11 points in 28 seconds](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCiHOpNJXnc) (when he played for the Jazz) to upset the Heatles. He had only made two 3s in his career at that point, then goes 3/3 at the end
Damn I thought he retired a couple of years ago.
Hawks legend congrats Paul
