I don’t remember him being this good. I do think he’s better than Terry.

Thomas Dimitroff was a great general manager, but it eas time for him to go.
Vic Beasley an AP All-Pro.
Is this just 1st teamers’ or are 2nd team guys included too?
This is the last ten seasons, so it’s a 70/30 split between TD & Terry
Right now he seems better than TF
The bigger question is how in the hell are the Cowboys on top of this list?
Show Fontenots picks, those are all that are relevant. Spoiler alert, they SUCK.
Ik him really well he loved the team and is still good friends with Arthur blank …. Has been at head coach hire meetings
He was fine. Terry is a good GM for FA, but the jury is still out (and not looking great) when it comes to the draft.
When every pick is top 10 every year it’s hard to miss.
He was great, probably the best we’ve ever had.
They went all in when they thought they had a Super Bowl window. It blew up in his face, and he was let go. But that doesn’t change the fact that he was a pretty damn good gm for his time with the Falcons. We had multiple all pros. He put together a top 10 most efficient offense of all time. He hired the right staff to lead that team and they came very close to winning a super bowl. His big mistake was that he held on to Dan Quinn too long and gave aging stars huge contracts. So, our predicament with the cap was His fault. But I have fond memories of the teams he put together.
He was pretty good at drafting but outside of Alex Mack (who really got recruited by Shanahan more than anything) he stunk at free agency.
Whereas now, Terry is pretty good at free agency but his drafting is quite underwhelming so far.
If we had both of them combined, we might have an elite front office lol.
I know this isn’t in these numbers, but consider the Julio trade. He traded 5 picks for Julio. In these numbers, that counts as 1/1, not 1/5.
I do think he did a good job but not like these numbers show.
He wasn’t bad. This list isn’t exactly telling thkugh. Would be like me asking ” Is Jerry Jones really the best GM in the NFL?”
He could not hit on early round defense. So many busts through the years:
Peria Jerry
Rashede hageman
Dezmen southward
Vic Beasley
Jalen Collins
Takk
Duke Riley
Deadrin senat
Kendall Sheffield
Marlon Davidson
Were all day 1 and 2 picks
Dimitroff was a good GM with flaws. He overpaid guys he drafted and wasn’t very good at getting good FAs. He was a good drafter, DL aside tho.
He was really good. He took them from being the joke of the league to perennial playoff contenders.
Make this since 2017 and they drop way down on the list. The drafting since the SB has been brutal.
I also wonder what it’d look like if they changed it to players with multiple AP selections. Neal, Beasley, and Jones really had flashes, not extended dominance.
Dimitroff made it 10 yrs. Gotta be good tonget that long. Je just made certain critical mistakes that eventually caught up to him.
There’s more to drafting than hit rate on all pros. It helps obviously but drafting solid starters and backups in mid and late rounds has a lot of value too
TD > TF
Does it count multiple appearances? Or just one per draft pick?
