I really just dont understand his take last night. I did not listen to this, but I dont really have any interest in doing so. Jack’s breakaway move last night looked very similar to Zibanejad’s usual breakaway/shootout deke move, and I would imagine when he pulls it off Vally doesn’t go off about Mika’s lack of respect for his opponent. Im just not getting where this alleged disrespect is coming from. Was it because of how nonchalant he looked? While it was happening I thought Jack got caught up in a move and what he wanted to do, but at no point during that play did I think wow hes trying to show him up. Just an awful take by this guy, and homer he is. thats even taking into account how much of a homer he is.
Why are people so surprised that talking heads paid to say outrageous things actually say them out loud?

I agree with Val here, Jack should’ve just taken advantage of Igor’s problem getting his right pad on the ice and fired a wrist shot. Then it would have been a more respectful 6-1 with a respectful hat trick
