Good move if the lakers end up trading for him?

  1. Ingram on another max contract is not a good idea for any team with championship aspirations.

He’s not that guy. Never will be.

  2. you have a 40 yr old bron. and Lakers lack ANY bench depth. id take him over RUI but idk lakers are just riding the coattails of lebrons final dance. wish they give him one more chance at a ring

  3. Ingram, along with Kuzma were my favorite young Lakers, but let’s be real. LAL can’t afford to have injury prone players on the roster and the contract he’s asking for make him not worth it tenfold.

  4. Clippers won’t send out Powell for him
Heat might do it but I highly doubt it
Don’t see a reason why ATL, Warriors, Houston, Wolves, Denver, Grizzlies and Spurs would do it, giving the contract they would have to give up.

  5. We need a 3rd best player something Dlo and Reaves aren’t good enough to be (in playoffs Dlo isn’t good even to be the 6th man). Taking into account he can pass the ball (leads his team in ast), attack the basket something only LeBron can do, is a natural SF something Rui clearly struggles on defense, is a decent defender and when healthy averaged 27 pts in playoff with a decent .58 TS%, he is definitely something we need.

We will still need a couple of complementary players, a two way PG and a reliable backup C.

  6. an actual all star caliber player sounds pretty sick. Injury history is ugly though, so his contract should be smart.

Lets say our roster next year is AR, DK, BI, LeBron, (healthy Vando if that exists,) and AD. Im not in love but I dont hate it at all.

Could be another should have just waited til the offseason candidate tho

  7. Not really enthused by it, but I wouldn’t hate it either. Just depends on what you’re giving up to NOP. Something like Dlo/Rui/JHS/picks for BI/Theis works. The Lakers would still really need to get more athletic on the perimeter though and that’d be their best assets gone without addressing POA defense. Theis is a super vanilla big too so not sure he is much of an upgrade at all to what we already have.

BI/AD to build long-term is okay, but feels like they’d need something else too to give them more force.

  8. it’s gon be cheap because everyone knows no doesn’t wanna max him/ he’s rich Paul guy.. might cost Lakers just matching salary and a couple 2nds.. then we hope he and rich Paul give Lakers a discount.. then we will have 3 max players locked up before next cap increase … which should put Lakers in good position post bron

  9. Would it improve the team? Probably. In a vacuum he’d probably be our 3rd best player.

But imo it doesn’t really move the needle too much and he’s wanting a max contract. Also been dealing with some injuries in the past few years.

At the same time though this team has so many holes that it’d be hard to see a trade for him being a negative if he’s healthy.

  10. He’ll get a max deal for the Wizards and play 45-50 games a year and maybe make the play-in a few years.

  11. I would only trade for him if he agreed to max 36M per year. So DLo+ Rui would work to trade for him and only 1 FRP attached to those players. Ingram wanting to play on a contender and thinking he can get anywhere near 170-180 Millon is not happening. Hes gonna be 140-150M range.

  12. Need BI or BI type so Bron can rest.
AD and BI carry the load, Bron pick his spots.

  13. Bad move but depends on the cost. I dont think he improves this team significantly. Our defense is shit and obviously he improves our offense and is shooting more 3s than he ever has which improves his value if he becomes more of a floor spacer but we cant give him max money. Anybody paying BI a max isnt winning a ring.

  14. #fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck no

pelifucks probably asking for reaves, rui and knecht btw, in case yall are aware.

  15. What a hilarious cycle. No one wanted Kyrie then everyone wanted him, same with Lavine now, and same will happen with BI when we continue fighting for playins

You absolutely go for Ingram and he’s worth including Reaves for, he’s much better than Reaves and I’m a bigger Reaves fan. Better scorer, playmaker, and won’t get targeted on defense.

It’s objectively a huge upgrade. I understood not trading AR for guys like DJM, Lavine, but BI is much better than all of them and at 27 will have another gear before he ever peaks

  16. He’s kinda in the same tier as prime Tobias Harris. A good player, not great, but can be great on some nights.

I’d like him instead of Rui/DLo Gabe for sure though. That’s just me personally.

  17. I hope that I am wrong but we are crazy to think we are going to trade the players we don’t even want and get a 1b or 2a superstar in return.

Players like Ingram and Lavine are the best available. And availability will ALWAYS drive the market at any given point in time.

  18. How the fuck can you assess the quality of the move without even knowing the details? This sub…

  19. Gonna be the optimist here for a second.. Bi is a fresh 27, the beginning of his prime.
Before getting hopes and dreams up; we would first need to stay below the 2nd apron somehow, so we can aggregate players, since we can’t under the 2nd apron (thanks LeBron) OR we somehow convince 2-3 other teams with NO to send out picks and players but we can only send one player for player and the money has to match or relatively work within each teams cap situation (like wizards for Valencianas ((a lot of you thought I’d type Kyle , lol)) ..
Everyone has downer years and honestly no one in New Orleans seems happy except Trey and CJ and Jose , ayyyyy 😎🤙 .. negative vibes are natural given what we’ve been thru.. but Bi returning ain’t the same as D’lo returning. If you recall that unfortunate but promising season prior to the big trade (game 2 vs the Rockets was 🔥 shout out to Rondo lol and Bi for hitting CP3 I hated that rockets team , they were so good and choked so hard ) ; LeBron and Bi play well together, AR and a Big and AD and we’ve got a situation.. not sure exactly what, besides picks NO would want (he’s got no market so we Do have leverage) but he’s not worth as much right, which imo is not a reflection of his potential in the right system and actually competing, not to mention for the team that drafted you. He’s grown and matured and LeBron and AD won’t take any bullshit, so , I love it personally, what’s he got for real? Let’s find out??
