If Philly is serious about Bregman, they'll trade Bohm, hopefilly to Detroit. So, the Tigers send Olson, Jung and J-hen for a deal?
Prediction
There will be no addition
Yet again at 3B this offseason
Get resdy for Mckinstry, Ibanez. Veirling to playoon again and take earmarked at bats from Jung
The more i think about this .the more it seems likely they aquire
Young players under team
Control with minor league options for flexibility
Thinking more like
Will Wagner , Brett Baty, Jake Burger
I remember how excited, and waiting expectantly, for Jace Jung to be called up. I hear very well what you say regarding him. No matter where he is, i am believing in him to be a great baseball player. I think of Wade Boggs being pretty sub par at 3rd when he started. He definitely turned it around, even defensively, to later become a hall of famer. ❤️'s to Jace.
nolan contract is better then giving bregmen 10-12 yrs
Completely agree with the Golden batter comments. It’s a stupid gimmick idea and would hurt baseball
The Tigers move…so…slow. It seems like most teams have been working on deals, finalizing the terms. The Tigers are kicking tires with no apparent intention to solve the third base situation.
If we come out of this winter with Arenado and Louis Castillo, I would say that is a pretty good offseason.
Give Jung 50 games to prove himself!!!
NNo to Arenado. His better days are behind him. Platoon Jace jung and Ibanez unless a better scenario turns up. I agree with Scotty. If a trade possibility for a good young third baseman presents itself, then yes, you put a package including Jung and see what happens. Thank you Scottie. Ray
The end to the season was miraculous, but unlikely to be repeatable. If Harris sits on his hands, counts on improvement from within, or hunts for another Geo Urshela, we’re back to 3rd in the AL Central.
Do they not transition Hao Yu Lee to another position besides second, or trade him? He's still looking solid.
I know it’s way early but after hearing Scott Harris talk about next year has me terribly worried that he is going to continue this waiver claim garbage and make 1 yr deal offers /reclamation projects ..fingers crossed last year’s success wasn’t a type of thinking that these guys don’t need help … minor league players are not our savior .. 90 million dollars under league average for payroll .. SIGN A BAT AND GET SOME PITCHING BEFORE ITS GONE
This year Seattle posted a team wRC+ of 104, including a league-leading wRC+ of 118 after August 15. The Mariners hope to improve on that wRC+ of 104 just as the Tigers hope to improve on this year's team wRC+ of 95.
Owners, GM’s, they need to stop brewing up changes to the game in their luxury suites. If they want to make changes they need to consult with fans. It’s called marketing research. This is a terrible idea.
I would've been ok with mat Boyd again for 2 years, and 29 mil… how did they miss that😅
Go Tigers!
Baseball should to go back to the way it was 20 yrs ago
The best thing that can happen to jace Jung is get traded to a team with elite hitting development, but it would make the Tigers look bad if said team gets him going. Jung has elite pitch recognition as does Malloy and Baddoo- thats half of hitting. In my view its not happening for these 3 in Detroit. Colt Keith passes the eye test for me at 2nd base, he makes some damn good plays . That only leaves the other 3 infield spots as questions. As for Tigers spending, its a stunning fact to me that Comerica is a quarter century old, its not a draw, its not a plus, its not a revenue star by any means. So the Tigers are not going to be a mega contract destination because they cant absorb a mistake like half the other teams can.
Rob Manfred is an idiot!!! The manfred man 2nd base rule is terrible, an absolute joke. This new proposed rule would have me no longer watching baseball. The games been great for 150+ yrs but may not survive Manfred's lunacy.
