  1. Soto isn't worth the price tag for the years he demands. I keep saying if the deal was around 5-6 years I'd be fine. I but I don't want him in the outfield for very long. I don't need to see many doubles turn into triples and singles turn into doubles. I don't think he'll be a good first baseman, but I think he'd be the best DH out there who can't pitch. Therein lies the problem; we have a DH who can pitch for 9 more years. Unless you fully believe Ohtani would be willing to stop pitching in those twilight years, I don't see it happening at all. I'd begrudgingly accept him as a Dodger if by some miracle he takes the team friendlier deal, but I highly doubt it because the other teams are desperate.

  2. Whether Soto signs or not, I will be glad to finally see FG's like Teo sign. If we get Soto, cool. If not, bring Teo back home to LA where he belongs.

  3. Jeff it's not that you "haven't done an adequate job in explainig how special he is". We get, perfectly clear, that you're a Juan Soto mega fan. For many, many of us, it's not even we don't how great or sepcial player he is, we know it, we get itmbut, still, don't want him because we don't see the need for him and we're not name chasing. For many of us to resign Teo (and/or the other Dodgers FA's), MAYBE a ss like HS Kim (either or both) which means not even Adames, and/or another decent.good OF is enough to make the team better (by a lot) from last season. Don't worry, you don't HAVE to convince us otherwise.

  4. I don't have anything against Soto. I don't believe he's a clubhouse cancer, or any of that stuff. At the end of the day, we just don't need him. The money could be put to better use elsewhere, specifically bringing back Treinen, Teo and Kike, hopefully Sasaki (I know he won't cost a lot, but eventually he will after a few seasons and when he approaches free agency; and that would be well before Soto's contract expires).

  5. Ohtani is 70 mil a year and Soto is looking for 45-50 million a year. Why can't Dodger fans do the math? He isn't looking for 600 10 years.
He is only 26 so 8 of those years are prime. Unlike the other Dodgers.
He has a career OPS+ of 160! Betts, Freeman and Harper are in the 140 range. Teoscar is 120 (Avg is 100)
He plays right field and Dodgers don't have one in right.
He was better than Teoscar in the field.
This is the rare occasion to get a future Hall of Famer BEFORE his prime.
If you want to see him collect his 500th homerun, 1500 rbi with another team you do not want the Dodgers to be a Dynasty
How quick you forget you thought the Paders were going to trounce the Dodgers in the playoffs. We can't rely on historic chokes from other teams for us to win.

  6. There are late bloomers and there are also early bloomers.
So temper your expectation that soto can go on like this for the next 5-10 years. Injury can happen anyday to ant player. Still need more pitching help.

  7. F—-OFF-. Soto is not worth half of Ohtani. Not even close. You are out of your mid if you think he is worth $600 million. Ohtani is a pitcher and a batter. Ohtani broke over 100 records in 2024 an he wasn't pitching. What records did Soto break last year? You are out of your mind if he is worth half of what Ohtani is worth.

  8. Ohtani has brought in so much money to the league and organization with his deferred salary it allows Dodgers to make these ridiculous offers and acquire top talent like Snell and hopefully Sasaki and Soto. Who wouldn't wanna be part of a dynasty!

  9. Soto will cause the Dodgers to lose money because of his price tag. Shohei draws millions of fans worldwide, how many people can Soto draw? 2? Just resign Teo, Hernandez bros, Treinen and Bueler. We're good.

  10. I hope the Dodgers DO NOT sign Soto. He's a great hitter but, in my view, too much of a showboat and not a great fit with the Dodgers culture. He's also average to below average as an outfielder. Giving this guy $600 mil would be a big mistake. Use that money for a couple of quality starting pitchers, preferably including Sasaki, and to sign Teoscar H to a longer term contract. I'm tired of hearing about Soto and hope this gets settled very soon, with him going back to the Yankees or maybe to one of those other AL teams.

  11. Soto.
You fit in New York or Boston. ⭕️⭕️⭕️

It's not the Dodgers who want you. ❌️

Roberts and the Dodgers players want to be with Teoscar.👍👍
    Teoscar feels the same too.🌈🌈

  12. Dear Juan, please sign soon, because I'm tired of all the talk about you. At this point, I almost don't care which team you choose. Almost…
