  8. I don’t think this report means a single thing because no body really knows, but I would be extremely surprised if Soto left New York we really can offer anything that those two guys can’t and they were better teams.

    But I don’t really want santander. I think he’s going to get a huge contract and quickly age out of it

  18. If Soto is asking questions about Toronto’s current state and future and plans… wouldn’t they have the most question marks?

    1. Bassitt, Vlad Jr and Bichette’s looming free agency in 2025

    2. Supposedly does not have a great farm system

    3. How will they surround him with players to consistently make it to the postseason

    If money is the only thing that counts for him, then he wouldn’t be asking these questions.

  26. Morosi sucks and is a hack or at the very least hack-adjacent, but I also remain unsure if the Yankees will actually bother to keep Juan Soto. I’m also unsure how I feel about it as a fan who understands the austerity/economics under which teams operate, if the choice is keeping Soto or using that money to fill several of the other holes the Yankees have on the roster.

    Yes, we all know every team COULD spend all the money and just get everybody, but they rarely do. Esp when the owner has been consistent on his message for years that he doesn’t want to spend 300 million dollars on a major league payroll every year.

    Also Santander to Toronto feels like a thing that could happen. Baltimore/Toronto games could get spicy.
