  15. People will shit all over the A’s for signing him, but the A’s actually have a pretty good lineup. They definitely need some pitching, but overall I don’t think this is some god awful team who will be in last place.

  16. Perfect scenario. Pitch well enough they will trade you to a contender in a year or two, and you get to live in a warm weather place with millions while you do so.

  27. This is mind boggling in so many ways. Like I guess I factually know the A’s have never given out that much in a contract. But knowing all the great players they’ve had at some point…….how?!? Logically I know how (just never paid them and traded them or let them walk), but my brain rejects it.

  28. Happy for Sevy but that is a crazy signing, especially for a team that’s playing in a minor league park most of the contract. Makes me wonder what Burnes will get.
