hey guys just wanna say thanks again for every podcast yall do it makes my day. never stop!
Let breggie walk
Let Bregman walk. Say no to Polanco and Adames. Trade Framber and get what you can while he has value. Let the younger guys prove what they have or don't have and build from there. I'm tired of getting the end of career former mvps.
Since 2020 the Dodgers have spent 1.5 BILLION dollars in free agency. The Yankees and Mets are next. Let that sink in. That’s just 4 years! I don’t want the Astros to be like them. That’s absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. And speaks volumes to how the Astros have broken baseball’s way of doing things. What a bunch of losers.
Congratulations Eric the organic chemistry nerd! I had no doubt that you would come through! We knew you had a little bit of Sheldon in you!
I think Bregman is gone, but you never know. Biggio told a story about how he wanted to stay in Houston, but they were low balling him. He was minutes away from accepting an offer from Colorado when the Astros called and made him the offer he wanted. The rest is history. It could happen with Bregman, but I think 2025 is a tough year for the Astros. They have like 50 mil in salary on the books to players that are gone or not playing. Crane has spent a lot of money as the team owner. He might be willing to go over the salary cap again and pay Bregman the big money.
Seattle needs to give up on power hitters and get a couple of guys that hit 30-40 doubles a year. They need players who hit for a higher average. It's a small ball stadium.
The Astros have a lot of young and newer fans that are used to watching them be one of the best teams in MLB. For 10 years they've been very good, and for about 7 of those they were a top 3 team. Normally things hit a low point and they have to climb back up. 2025 might be another 88-90 win season. But we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. In 2026 or 2027 we have a shot and being back near the top. I hope I'm wrong, but we're pretty much out of quality prospects. We're at peak salary. It's going to be tough in 2025.
