This is where I absolutely lose my patience with former NBA players. If you're not going to learn the CBA, then STFU about the stuff you know nothing about. Anyone thinking we voluntarily let IHart go knows nothing about how these things work. Were the Knicks supposed to hold his family hostage? He had the option to earn more someplace else and he did so. God bless. We all moved on, come join us VC.

  1. The frustrating part about this is people are stupid enough to believe it which really just feeds into incorrect narratives about the team.

  2. The sport amazing. The players the fan engagement incredible. The commentators and analysts are all complete ass.

  3. Just goes to show how fucking stupid it is that there is a limit on how much you can offer a player because reasons.

Thats probably why everyone thinks the Knicks just didn’t try to pay him.

  4. I’ll say one of Leon’s greatest missteps was not giving iHart a 3 year deal so that we could’ve kept him

  5. It’s not just earn more though it’s upward of 23ish million dollars. That’s fucking generational wealth. Like stfu Vince Carter.

  6. Not even to mention that if iHart took less money to stay, the KAT trade probably doesn’t even happen…

  7. Early Bird Rights were introduced in 2012. Vince Carter played 8 full seasons with the clause existing. He’s had countless teammates who were signed with early bird rights. How do you not understand them in even the slightest degree?

  8. Besides the obvious that the Knicks financially couldn’t offer him more, the KAT move doesn’t happen if Hartenstein stays. The money doesn’t work and Randle is a better fit as the 4

  9. I miss Hartenstein. Love to see him do well in OKC but we literally couldn’t offer him anymore money.

  10. Yeah I just got mad reading shit post like cmon yo stfu sometimes if you don’t know shit!

  11. Is this podcast on YouTube? Can we all go over there and leave comments explaining the salary cap?

  12. Does Vince know about the NBA’s salary apron? Also JR was going to be gone when they didn’t give him a max deal and they probably had the KAT thing in mind to deal with it. League is designed for parity and you don’t get to have both.

  13. Lazy punditry to phrase this is a way where the Knicks had the ability to do or offer more. It happens but I also think that had they resigned I-Har they maybe don’t turn Randle/DDV into KAT who I would rather have.

  14. What about “they offered him the max they could offer” do you not understand? You stupid or something, Vince?

  15. I suppose we should have kept Divo while still acquiring KAT and all those draft picks while still acquiring Mikal too right? /s
