12. I feel Maple Leafs out of respect for the career John Tavares has accomplished and still accomplishing it would be wise to give him a four-year deal at 4.5 million US. There is a condition to that deal. That condition is that John Tavares will seek the best speed skater coach and help him improve his speed for the next 4 years. Watching Tavares through the years that even at 39, he can still be a great 4 th. liner That is if he keeps his speed to the game. Remember he gave up 13 million a year to play for less in Toronto. 32. Leafs were good and very fair with Tavares. He should sign for 2 X 5 million. Grab another 10 million then league minimum as long as he has value to the team. Otherwise if no discount see ya later.
