Take me down to Breakaway City…
Tom Wilson scored two straight goals in the third period to help the Washington Capitals rally for a 4-2 win against the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre on Saturday.
Pierre-Luc Dubois had a goal and an assist, and Logan Thompson made 22 saves for Washington (19-6-2), which is 6-0-1 in its past seven.
“I think we just had to stick with it,” Wilson said. “They’re opportunistic on their end. They come down and they get a lot of odd-man rushes. ‘Thommer’ held us in there and then slowly we just turned the tide, got our legs under us and started making some good plays. I thought we played a really good third period and didn’t really give them much of a chance.”
The Capitals’ ninth consecutive road win extended their franchise record streak.
“It’s a really fun group,” Wilson said. “We enjoy coming together and bearing down and finding ways to gut out these tough wins. So, it’s a great group in here, I’ve been saying that all year and we’re just having fun playing for the guy next to us.”

Hey guys 🙋♂ – I didn't love how this one turned out 😅 but I tried my best 💪, it's just very late 🕒 and I couldn't redo a bunch of it… hope you still like it 🤞.
Well, it was a tough loss 😔 but I choose to look at the bright side 🌟, how are you all doing? 🤔 Anyone getting excited for Christmas 🎄?!?
The story of the game is in the title……..
let say just 2 of the 5 breakaway result in goals and its clearly not the same game anymore.
lets all get whiskey lung to 10k by the new year!!! we all know he's one of the best in the hockey youtube sphere
Slaf having Marty demoting him then riding him messed him up. Should have kept him on the top line considering how well they finished last season. He'll be back. Considering they were playing the Caps it wasn't too bad a result.
easy game at home vs the Ducks Monday, let's just forget about this one….
Definitely interference by Anderson. The knee on knee potential was dangerous.
I know you don't like the "back to back" statement but if the Canadiens could have scored on one of the breakaways, the Caps would have had a reason to just not press.
Isn't it time for Dach and Evans to switch lines? Dach is not doing anything and maybe Evans would make better use of second line ice time.
Surprisingly for me, Struble is clearly a better defenceman than Barron. This is helpful in sorting out the D situation and providing enough ice time for the younger players to develop.
Congrats for hitting 6k , You now have as much subscribers as habs missed breakaways 😂😂
The infamous 2 goal lead strikes again!
great job on 6k. ride it like you stole it!
Need to sit Saf and Doc, for a game or two.
I wonder if the sports media in DC is having a whole cycle about how abysmal the Caps defense is with how many breakaways and high quality slot chances they give out. Not too familiar with the landscape but I'd hover towards 'no'.
Anderson played a dangerous gamble hopping the ref sees that he is trying to avoid the offside while still blocking the way. It was obstruction, good call.
Caps built their confidence on good goaltending and pure will by wilson while habs mist soooo many opportunities to put the dagger in the hart and finish de dragon…
people think Gally and Anderson are under bad contracts, just wait….I'm way more disappointed about Slaf than Dach, at around 9min in the 2nd period, we all saw it when he had the puck at the red line , he tried to cut inside and his weak legs couldn't support his weight and he fell
I'm going with the glass is 2/3 full view: if the Habs 2 out of 3 games the rest of the way, they'll finish with a great record! 😏
Gratz on reaching 6k, and I agree with you, the habs played a good game overall, and did not just simply roll over when things started to go south on them. The real kicker was not one goal was scored on all those breakaways' hopefully they learn from this experience and keep pushing and good things will happen.
once again good recap of the game. keep it up. Regards
Yes, it was a disappointing loss. But they did look pretty good in many ways. In all fairness though, they did run up against a very hot goalie!
Our team played well but “Alvin” kept striking again!
The interference call on Anderson was 50/50. From one angle it looked like he blocked the other player and from another angle it looked like the player initiated contact. I guess the ref had the wrong angle. 😅
Great video dude!
Hi !
This game made me miss my boy Lekky so much. If he got one of those, it's going in. YOU'RE MY BOY BLUE! In all seriousness I think we did play well, but it is just infuriating how nobody scored. It doesn't evoke confidence. I don't know whether to attribute it to being goalied or just nobody can score. Kinda getting tired of the rebuild excuse, somebody has got to be able to pot one of those.
No shame? God dam right there's shame. Most of these guys have to learn how to shoot the puck by the goalie into the net. If you can't finish you don't win.
Thank you so much for this amazing video! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Frustrating loss…should have been a win with all those superb chances.
Congratulations on 6000! Maybe because it’s the middle of the night as I attempt remembering but didn’t they have trouble in a previous game scoring on a leftie goalie?
