I would be happy about this.
So if it’s 4 years the Mets would like him back
5-6 years they don’t
Id much rather take a chance on Walker Buehler
This dude was nails last year. We need him back
I really want him back. 4 years most at his age.
Re-Sign Manaea to 3 Years $81M with a fourth year vesting option, and Buehler to 2 Years $36M (with an opt-out after Year 1). I’d be happy with that 👍🏻
Grab Manaea, grab Pete, then let’s see if we can get another front end starter or lockdown reliever in the trade market.

I really hope we get him back. He proved he can show up in big spots and I genuinely believe his new arm angle is for real and he can be a really solid number three at the very worst and probably a solid number two.

Would love to see him back. A big fabric of the clubhouse. One of the first guys I saw wearing the starting pitcher’s number as eye black. Thought that was really cool.
Pete deserves to come back.
A good starting point is somewhere in between Nimmo’s $20.5m AAV and Lindor’s $34.1m AAV.
As for trade buzz? How does everyone here feel about Jeff McNeil for Sonny Gray?
I love the Manea. Seems like a really good guy too
I know a lot of people want Pete back and I do as well, but I think Manaea is more important to lock up now that we got Soto
It’s now a “must” along with Pete. And just for fun beuhler
It’s not talked about how much easier signing free agents will be now that we have Soto
Sign Corbin Burnes and bring back Sean Manaea/Pete Alonso.
We’ll have the Fab Five rotation with one of the deadliest lineup in baseball.

2) Sign Buehler on a two-year deal one, plus an opt out)
3) Re-sign Stanek
4) Re-sign Winker
5) Re-sign Iglesias
