Is anybody on the Cleveland Browns staff after a 3-10 start to the season?
The Browns fell to the Steelers, 27-14, in Pittsburgh, bringing their record to 3-10 on the season.
The Browns scored points on just one of their four trips to the red zone and K Dustin Hopkins missed two field goals, as Cleveland failed to keep pace with the Steelers offense.
DE Isaiah McGuire gave the Browns’ hope near the end of the fourth quarter by forcing a fumble, but QB Jameis Winston threw an interception two plays later. After WR Kadarius Toney muffed a punt following a Steelers’ three-and-out, the Steelers held onto win the game.
Key Moments
Missed opportunities cost the Browns on the scoreboard
The Browns entered the second half down 13-7 after key mistakes led to points for the Steelers and missed scoring opportunities for the Browns.
In the first drive of the second quarter, Winston threw a low ball at the line of scrimmage, which DT Keeanu Benton snagged out of the air, nabbing his first career interception. Five plays later, the Steelers found the end zone to take the lead on a 1-yard run from RB Najee Harris.
At the end of the half, Winston led a drive to the Pittsburgh 20-yard line, setting Hopkins up for a 38-yard field goal attempt. Hopkins’ attempt sailed wide left and the Browns were unable to cut into the Steelers lead heading into halftime.
Costly errors continued in the second half, as the Steelers created separation on the scoreboard.
On the Browns’ opening drive of the second half, RB Jerome Ford provided a spark on the opening kickoff, taking it 56 yards to the Pittsburgh 35. After the Browns were unable to pick up a first down, Hopkins had another chance for a field goal but missed the 43-yarder wide right.
On the ensuing drive, the Steelers scored their second touchdown of the game on a 10-yard pass from Wilson to WR Van Jefferson as Pittsburgh build a two-score second half lead.
The Browns reached Steelers territory once again on the next drive but failed to convert on fourth-and-1 to keep the drive alive. With a yard to go, Winston handed the ball off in the backfield to Ford, who was tackled for a 5-yard loss. The Steelers scored their third touchdown of the game on the following drive.
In desperate needs of points, the Browns had the football at the Pittsburgh 21-yard line, needing just 1 yard to convert on third down. However, RT Jack Conklin committed a false start and Winston was sacked on the following play. After the sack, LT Germain Ifedi committed a personal foul, forcing the Browns to punt instead of going for it on fourth-and-24
After McGuire forced RB Cordarrelle Patterson to fumble late in the fourth quarter, the Browns had the ball down 13 points with a chance to cut the Steelers’ lead to one score. However, two plays later, Winston threw his second interception of the game.
The defense answered Winston’s interception with a crucial three-and-out, giving the offense a chance at creating a comeback. However, on the ensuing punt, Toney muffed the catch and the Steelers recovered, sealing the win for Pittsburgh.
Winston tosses two touchdowns in loss
Winston, who finished with a season-low 211 passing yards since he took over as the Browns starting quarterback, threw two touchdown passes – the only points the Browns would score on Sunday.
On their second drive of the game, the Browns offense drove 70 yards downfield for their first score of the game. On third-and-9 from the Pittsburgh 35-yard line, Winston escaped the pocket and floated a pass for WR Jerry Jeudy, who beat two Steelers defensive backs as he walked into the end zone for a first quarter touchdown.
The Browns would not score again until the fourth quarter. Winston completed 9-of-11 passing attempts, finishing the drive with a 15-yard touchdown pass to TE David Njoku.
The touchdown marked the only time the Browns scored in the red zone on Sunday, going 1-for-4 inside the Steelers’ 20-yard line.
Key Stats and Facts
The Browns finished with just one sack, courtesy of Myles Garrett.
Jerry Jeudy had his sixth-straight game with 60 or more receiving yards. He finished with five receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown.
Winston’s two-interception performance was his third game this season with two or more interceptions.

I dont expect consistent greatness…although that would be nice….but is it asking too much to expect consistent decency??
Deposit and Barry have to go
So nothing about the wr coach (who's also your passing game coordinator) whose receivers have been top 5 in drops for 3 years in a row and has consistently gotten worse each year 🤣🤣🤣
Cleveland Clowns never fail 🤣
3-10 start? Lol it’s over
@ BIGGIE, I been saying the same thing for years!!Give me and1 of the my Female Browns fan all expanses paid we couldn't do any worse!! And I am not saying that to disparage the women fans, but that is a fact. If they let Vrabel leave the building without getting him under some kind of contract, whether as the head coach or assistant head coach they are dummer than I thought, but then i remembered it is the Browns!! Smh!!
And this schedule was a lot tougher this year too so it could have been fools gold last year
i woke up this morning saw espn and was highly disappointed . stefanski berry and depodesto were not fired
Stefanski and Berry are a tandem. A coupled entry. Either they both stay or both go.
It is molten lava, no member of the staff is safe
Head Coach
Wasted talent, poor coaching plays, bad decisions and injuries take their toll
Stinkfanski has to go too damn soft..AB outta here,Paul Depo outta here,Bubba and Dorsey outta here by by
Paul Dipodesta And Kevin Stafanski Are The Goddam Problem 🤬
Jimmy Haslem is more about padding his pockets ripping Browns fans off moreso than getting this dumpster fire team he owns on track Cleveland is back to being a laughing stock of the NFL again
Lol this is what browns fans an comments do they blame everyone win losing I told you guys it wasn't Watson I told you what the problem has been. Know you want everyone fired smh lol this team never will be good it's never has been a good company
Paul Depodesta is Jimmys snitch period
Earl bro you don't have a running back. I said they should have gotten Henry. A big back . Ford is to small . And chubb is going to need help in the backfield I couldn't understand you guys crying when chubb gets back chubb had a bad injury and that made twice this happened smh stop looking for hope in a empty jar
Fire them all.
All3needtogoooooo
McNuggets, you're smarter than that. You actually give Berry an "average" for his drafts???? After Wills? After Newsome? After Ika? And whose fault is it that he didn't have those three firsts??? Good to see that Earl is on target with his analysis. I'd fire everyone. Burn it down.
Berry drafted Jok his only pro bowler and he prolly won’t even play again
F Paul team wrecker D-head
Potentially a 3 win season with the highest payroll in the NFL, that leaves no one safe! I expect the whole front office and the whole coaching staff to be fired. Haslem will never except the blame for this debacle. The Steelers were supposed to be in a down season they lead the division. I fully expect for the Browns to give the keys to Mike Vrabel to be brought in to run the show, it's the only move that Jimmy can make that will save face.
Gentlemen, the hot seat.
Someone needs to be fired for the Watson trade.
Someone needs to be fired for the decline of Defense and offense.
Somebody needs to be fired for the lack of special teams play. Question, do you guys think the kicker has been told to kick us out of games? Do you trust Kevin Stetankski?
I hope none of these guys jobs are safe.
Dorsey sucks. He brought The Bills failed offense to Cleveland; interceptions, no running game. He has to go. Kevin stays and needs a pass coordinator who can run the ball. More play action. Berry needs a talent evaluator and someone else for scouting and the draft. This person left Cleveland to Minnesota. His name Ryan Grigson. See how Minnesota is doing? Coincidence?
Fire Schwartz, oline coach, db coach and ST coach
Name Winston starter and send Watson home until he can be released.
Draft/FA bolster and retool the oline.
Draft WR1, oline help, DB, LB
This offense goes into the 2025 season with Winston slinging it to the skill poisitions. We need to see if Chubb can come back 100% and ffs get the guy some oline help. Browns go 8-9 and then draft their QB in the next 2 years
I think the whole conversation is stupid because of Watson everyone needs fired if you fired Kevin and Berry they all would be gone anyway.
When I watch the Browns defense I see a bunch of idiots Schwartz will be the fall guy the players just seem dumb .The missed tackles have nothing to do with Jim he has players there to make plays many times they appear to take terrible angles on tackles and miss ,these blown coverages are just dumb players that are not capable of running a pro defense they can’t communicate to each other I doubt it’s Jim’s fault.
The Watson trade has set this team back years so whoever is responsible for the trade needs to go
Berry is a horrible GM. Legit 95% of his picks have been bust and/or held on to for too long (Anthony Schwartz) and the only decent picks have been Tillman and JOK so far and the Watson deal, to me, sealed his fate that if it failed he has to go; Jeudy has been his best trade and nothing else comes close.
Stephanski has been a mediocre HC that should just stick to coordinator position.
Dorsey was a failure in Buffalo and keeps that trend going.
Schwartz has been figured out and he can’t adjust to it.
Andy needed to be fired yesterday, a complete, incompetent O Line coach.
