I know this has been discussed a bit before, but his agent openly stating it during winter meetings, I think is an indication that he'll really jump ship for the right team.
That said, I've seen a lot of stories get his salary wrong. Yes, it is $74M on paper, but the Rocks are paying $5M still each of the next two years, so actually $64M, plus whatever amount Mo might eat.

Kinda defeats the purpose of even trading for him since third base is a huge part of his value
Bad hitter at 1st base. So valuable. Such a smart man.
Who will the Cardinals bring back to play 3rd?
Ken Oberkfell?
Terry Pendleton?
Todd Zeile?
Scott Rolen?
David Freese?
100 OPS+ AND nullifies his above average 3rd base defense? What a deal!
This seems so foolish to me since his defense at 3B is his only plus value right now, but idk, I’m not a sports agent.
This is pretty funny that he wants out so bad. Arenado is one of the biggest reasons for our poor performance lately. And he is a postseason choke artist btw. Bye bye Has-Been!
We need a 1B…
He has less value at first base.
This just shows how little of a market/demand there is for him.
Old news
The best defensive 3B in baseball will transition to 1B???
Put jwalk at first ig. Idek at this point
Peace out
