Arizona will be Detroit too, just give us time to get over the Coyotes.
Let’s be real, South Dakota is the real head-scratcher here.
I ❤️ New Mexico. But the Devils not being the most popular team in their own state is pathetic.
I do understand it but also at the same time it always sorta puzzles me that the home team is the most searched. I search other teams way more than I search the Wings. I already know how the Wings players are doing I want to see how other teams that I’m not watching as much are doing
On hockey reference at least. Evolving hockey is different for me, lots of Wings searches for analytics
I don’t buy Indiana. So much Black Hawks apparel when walking around.
We gotta flip Indiana somehow.. the scattered Ranger states have me confused
I’m probably responsible for 50% of the NM views.
All I know is Iowa is a bunch of maple syrup eatin’ traitors!
Moved from Boston to metro Atlanta 13 years ago. I’ve seen a lot of Detroit and Nashville, some Chicago, some Boston, some TB.
I think I can count on one had the amount of times I’ve seen any Rangers gear.
Rangers fans in Louisiana, guess I’m part of the one percent.
Let’s go New Mexico!
No ducks, islanders, penguins…
Can’t believe the Blues are more popular than the Preds in AL. I’ve never met a Blues fan here, and Nashville is so much closer, and considered the “local” team.
I am surprised Ohio is not either Red Wings or Penguins
That’s awesome though I would love to see the numbers because I’m pretty sure I’m the only Red Wings fan in NM. I’m not sure anyone else in NM even knows about hockey. I’ve seen a few other transplants from Metro-detroit out here but I don’t think any of them were hockey fans.
New Detroixico*
I’ve always liked New Mexico. Good folks out that way!
The real surprise is the amount of states that were looking at the Coyotes, including Arizona itself.
What’s up with Iowa?
I grew up there, you can’t throw a fat chick 10 feet without hitting a blackhawks homer.
Ah yes, the Iowa oilers
Back during the streak, there were a lot more Wings areas… understandable during the slump
I remember looking up team sales at a place I worked in the Wings cup years and the years around them…Wings were almost always 2nd to 5th most popular in every single market
I would love to see those stats again…like a top 5 popularity in every state and province
Do Wisconsinites actually root for the hawks? I find that hard to believe.
I wore Red Wings gear in Albuquerque one day…and was fascinated how many people approached me. I think there’s something about the winged wheel that feels very “Western”….one person didn’t know a single thing about hockey, just liked our logo lol.
Never had that happen before, but AZ/NM is absolutely a Wings stronghold in the West. Makes it extra fun living in Colorado these days and seeing the fans around on a regular basis.
How come wisconsin has never been a place for hockey? isn’t wisonsin huge on hockey?
This is interesting. I’ve always wanted to see a team in Maine. I feel like that’s necessary.
There’s a huge Wings contingent in Dallas too, Dallas just has a good fanbase too!
