8. For once I want a recently signed free agent to say what they really feel like Willy would have been a legend if he went with “nah fuck him we good.”

9. Burnes’ contract in four/five+ years is going to look league average for pitchers. Obviously there are luxury tax concerns you have to manage, but, you can’t miss out over a few million dollars. Giants need to get it done.

11. So Burnes cutter in 2021 and 2024 had the same velo and same rpm but has lost 1in of vertical break and 2in of horizontal break and gone from a 163 stuff+ pitch to a 125 stuff+ pitch. Yet it’s active spin% and total movment are higher in 2024 then 2021. What?
