  1. It’s crazy the return you’re able to get for a 27/28 year old OF on an expiring contract when you don’t have ownership forcing you to attach 50 million dollars in salary to him!!

  2. Gonna be interesting to see if Houston can get another talent like Tucker in the coming years. There’s very few like him.

  3. Crowded OF between now Tucker/Bellinger/Suzuki/Happ/PCA

Feel like Bellinger trade will happen soon

  4. Paredes is gonna hit 40 at minute maid and this knocks a suitor for Bregman out. Extend that man cubs

  5. AL West teams seeing Tucker leaving the division just for Parades to exploit the crawford boxes

  6. It honestly blows my mind that Tucker put up 4.7 bWAR last year off of only 70-something games. Played less than half of the season and would have been on pace for over 9 bWAR if he played a full 162 games. Absolutely nuts

  7. The best thing for the Cubs with Tucker is that he fits their timeline. If he loves it in Chicago and has a great season you potentially have the upper hand in re-signing a star. The Cubs needed an established star like him to take their team to the next level. He’s a true foundational piece in the lineup. It’s also refreshing for fans to see the Cubs finally really make a deal like this that moves the needle. It’s a big step for them, and as good as Smith looks to be, Shaw is ready to step in. This is his moment now in Chicago.
