  1. If this team had recent success I wouldn't mind, but unfortunately this team desperately needs to turn this thing around and chances are a more established head coach more likely to get it done. I wouldn't be opposed to perhaps hiring a short time hire such as a Pete Carroll who can coach for a season or 2 and Aaron Glenn can be the assistant head coach/successor to the job long term.

  2. You know what’s crazy.. I looked over at the offensive staff for Detroit and there’s two names there that I like. Mark Brunnel and Tanner Engstrand (interviewed for OC jobs previously) could he possibly poach one or both to develop a young QB?

  3. He was a first round pick and was really a good player. I would be fine with him. He comes with a better pedigree then a lot of former players. Vrabel to me is the guy to change the losing culture.

  4. Is he a successful head coach? No? Has he ever been a head coach? No? Perfect for the jets. This would be the jets Doing jets things making jets choices, this sounds about right. Then we can get a offensive coordinator who has never been a offensive coordinator and it will be a slam dunk. Are we serious right now?

  5. Aaron Glenn would be a cool story. Bringing Dennis Allen with him means he could focus more on being a Head Coach/Leader. But on offense, if he doesn’t choose experience, I could see him going with a younger guy in a trendy offensive scheme. NY could live with a run first offense if they were winning, but they deserve a dangerous pass game that defenses respect.

  6. Despite a couple of shortcomings, right now Vrabel would be my 1st choice. If the Jets miss out on MV &/or instead opt for a first timer, I'd be on board with Glenn. Don't want previous/current HCs Rex or McCarthy (if Jerry fires him).

  7. No.. offensive minded coach. The team needs to do things totally the opposite from what they are used to. That’s how you break that curse. If you want a defensive minded coach, vrabel makes the most sense. Outside of him, offensive minded coach who can develop qb’s

  8. So you don’t know what it’s like to be one of the best? . Well yes you do but nothing like my team growing up. We had the coaches back then. Richard Todd/ Obie/ sack exchange/ we were respected and feared! Maybe one day you will understand. But I’m afraid you will become an old man like me and never see or feel what it is like. We are making the same mistake over and over. No first time coaches!! You can talk until you’re blue in the face bro. If we could not win with what we had the last three years we ain’t winning nothing. Not until they sell the team. I was just like you.
