"He's in between Puerto Rico and Tampa with his rehab. Our people have been down to Puerto Rico and seen him. He's going step-by-step. It's a long rehab process, and that's why we're all anxious to see how he comes out of it physically with the hip. Hopefully that alleviates the back issues that he's talked a lot about.

"He's been very diligent in his work and very diligent in his rehab process. He hasn't had a misstep or anything that gives us doubt or pause that he's not going to be fully healthy when the time comes.

I don't know when that is, and I don't know what he's going to be able to give us as we get into the spring. But I've been very proud of his communication, his diligence and the program he's on is giving him the best chance to get back to being healthy."

  1. AJ doesn’t sound particularly hopeful in this. I was kinda hoping Baez could maybe get to a > .670s OPS against LHP, and we could platoon him somewhere

  2. This is Detroit! The city of second chances… And third, and fourth….

Between this and Torkelson, I’ve never seen an organization so committed to bad players. It’s one thing to make a bad draft pick or signing, but to double down after three bad years in a row and still stick with them is frustrating.

How can you take a team seriously when they pencil in -3 WAR into their lineup by choice

  3. Dear lord, please, please let Javys rehab last the rest of his contract

Or just stop acting like a bitch and DFA this decrepit jackhole already Harris and friends.

  4. Who cares. This is like hearing how Miggy was in great shape entering the spring every year from 2018-2023. I’ll believe it when I see it.

  5. He’s been very very very bad at baseball. But it seems like he’s an ok dude in the clubhouse. I haven’t heard of him being an ass to teammates or management. He probably hates his performance more than anyone.
