Burnes yes Sasaki no
Hmm
Giants aren’t contenders
Ned wrong as usual lol
Good take
Sasaki is probably going to the Padres. Plus, can Buster speak Japaneses? Dave Roberts was born in Japan and AJ Prellar speaks Japanese. lol
Talking about trading webb is absolutely batshit crazy
I'd want Burnes and Sasaki over Burnes and Webb. If we can pull off Burnes and Sasaki signings I'd trade whatever combination of Webb, Harrison, Eldridge, Matos, and Luciano Is needed for Kyle Tucker. But only on the condition that he immediately signs a long-term contract extension with the Giants.
Trade Webb to Boston get Mayer in return and go after Burnes and also go after Joe Kelly Buehler and Paxton but let Webb have a better career else where
What if the moon was made of green cheese?
Buster is going to surprise a lot of people as an executive. He will turn this team around. Give him time.
Why are you guys always talking about trading Webb? One of the best pitchers in baseball on a great contract not to mention he is a great leader. Horrible take.
Never trade Webb
SoCal > NoCal
Giants have to close the deal for Burnes sooner then later before someone else swoops in and gets him.
Giants already have agreed to terms with the number one international free agent for the 2025 class (not counting Roki). If he finds out that they are trying to give away his money to Roki he will not be happy and would likely back out of the agreement they already have. That is extremely risky for the Giants to do especially considering all signs point towards the Dodgers already having a deal done for Roki. Because if they didn’t have a deal done wouldn’t it make sense that they would agree to terms with their best Academy players for the 2025 class? They are the only team that isn’t agreeing to terms with their best Academy players and have told them to look elsewhere because there won’t be money available for them. Which is why GM’s are complaining to the league and why the league is currently investigating. I just don’t think it’s worth it for the Giants to take a risk so big for a chance so small
Ned sounds gangster. Not about to listen
I wouldn't trade Webb for all the tea in China. He is rock steady. You can't find that at Walmart. Durable, fun, fan friendly, loves San Francisco, reliable, eats innings, and lights out. Sorry, trading Webb is dumb in all caps. You don't trade the face of the franchise. I don't think he's even reached his prime. Trade Webb? Somebody slap that guy. If Webb had decent run support he would have won a Cy Young. And what if you did trade him? What would you get in return that would improve the team? A better pitcher? Doubtful, but if you did, he would only be marginally so. A great hitter? Expensive, and might be around only until free agency. Trade Webb…wow.
The thought of trading Webb is a horrible trend
