Yankees, Brewers swap fun All-Star pitchers, everyone wins

  1. Might need to start listening to the Brewer’s radio broadcast to hear Uecker announcing Nestor’s weird hesitation shit

  2. One of them is a turtle fostering southpaw who went from being drafted 6.02×10^(23)rd to being an All-Star.

The other threw too hard his back broke last year.

    They’re not the same.

Allow me the evening. I’m going to miss our Cuban prince.

  3. Always going to root for Nestor, no matter where he is. He shoved when we needed him to, and was the big dog. Gonna miss seeing the funky deliveries to offset hitters timing. Dude is a huge success story and an elite athlete, Milwaukee is lucky to have him and he’s gonna be a perfect fit for their club.

  4. We all know even if Nestor never throws another pitch in pinstripes the guy will be an old timers day staple in 15-20 years and we will be smiling ear to ear when he comes out. Dude will always be a fan favorite Yankee.

  5. I have been watching Devin Williams since he was Hader’s set up guy. Some small sample badness in the playoffs, but he is insanely unhittable when he’s going. You can sit on his change, and he has high heat that he’ll use.

I will miss Nestor, he was one of those dudes who is generally happy to be there, and an asset while there. That crafty lefty, change arm angles, hesitate delivery, quick pitch, throw whatever funk you can find… that dude is always popular if he throws strikes. And Nestor is even a good dude on top of that.

I’m a bit bummed about Durbin, as I’ve been following him for a minute or ten. Smart kid, incredible build, insane contact skills. Dislike KLaw bagging on his EV, since he was rehabbing a wrist injury. Dude is gonna be a good major leaguer.

  6. Love this trade, if he doesn’t let up the 3 run homer to Pete, they probs don’t even deal him,. Everything happens for a reason boys, MO like move this could be fucking huge

  7. I’m probably alone in that I don’t love this trade, just kind of indifferent towards it. Williams is awesome and a big pickup, but giving up a controllable player in Durbin and a pretty good back end of the rotation guy for 1 year of Williams seems a little hefty to me.

  8. This article makes me feel better about the trade, but I’m still nervous about trading away Durbin and Cortes Jr for Williams.

But I’m sure the first time Williams locks down a game without breaking a sweat, I’ll appreciate it more.
