We need to get a song or chant going for every home game. Like after the first TV Time out of the 3rd sing “Sweet Caroline” but instead of
“sweet Caroline” – “Samuel Rosen” and instead of “bum bum bum” – “Power Play Goal”
He deserves better than what this teams giving.
I feel bad for Sam. He deserves better. The fact he has to deal with this garbage ass team in his final season is embarrassing.
Absolute legend, in my 40s, Sam is all I’ve ever known. It won’t be the same without him.
One of you mentioned replacing “Potvin sucks” with “Thank you Sam” and I think that’s just brilliant.
I’m very, very over the chant and tired of listening to people try to explain who Potvin is/was and the reason the crowd chants in the first place. Admittedly, I also cringe because the man’s name is etched in the Cup four times. Downvote me to hell, but I’d prefer it if in 40 years the crowd is chanting “Thank you Sam” instead of some dead Islander player, I will die and rest in Cupless peace.
