  1. I watch a lot of his post game interviews and I’ve never seen him this disappointed in the team! I know he’s not sleeping well tonight 🙁

    You got this
    Oilers ! Keep working hard

  2. Can’t blame Stu too much. He’s not a top-tier goalie, but this was just one rough game for him, and he’s been solid most nights. Bouchard, though? Absolutely brutal. His turnovers and lack of effort are killing this team. When your defense keeps handing out golden chances like Bouch does, no goalie is going to save you. Bench him, call up anyone from the AHL or Canada West. At least they’d know how to defend and not gift-wrap goals. Enough is enough…

  3. This is exactly the game I figured it would be. Panthers shut out for 2 straight games; it was painfully obvious that the cats were gonna just throw everything on net. This wasn’t the solid defensive game that they needed to have. And if you couldn’t see how this game was gonna go after how the first goal was scored, watch more hockey because it was painfully obvious it was gonna be a gong show.

  4. Even isn’t one of your best players. Please, don’t lie to us. Stu is solid, that misses the odd one, forced by Bouchard mistakes. Horrible penalty and horrible hockey IQ, sit him FFS

  5. It's time Stu plays his natural position – BACKUP goalie. This game was a perfect example of what to expect in another SCF Game7 – when the team has a good lead and oops the goalie lets in a handful of crappy goals (that one off his head?? why is he always playing low and leaving a gap??) and there goes Lord Stanley to the opposite team ! Time to trade for a true No.1 goalie Stan, Stu is just too up and down and shakey to win us a cup….

  6. Don't agree with majority of Oilers supporting Stuart Skinner through thick and thin. Yes, he can have several games in a row at NHL Top-level and then a game like today where he 'loses the cup' for the Oilers. Same with Bouchard, 2-3 games at top level, and then a game like this where you see his utter lack of focus. Knoblauch more or less points at his mistakes, but fails to mention that a GREAT trainer should TELL and TEACH Bouchard to not 'dribble' or 'play' with the puck when he is LAST defenceman. He did it when Panthers open the score, and repeatedly tried to make plays as last defenseman instead of SIMPLY passing. That is on Bouchard but ALSO ON THE TRAINER! Not taking Skinner out at least 3 min before the end, also on the trainer!!! How poor call was that to only take Skinner out with 1 minute left in the game! Skinner, Bouchard and Knoblauch lost the game today, which was otherwise well in the Oilers hands. What is sad to see with Skinner is also the fact that aside from yet again 3 goals through his legs, he showed his 'fear of the puck' when he turns away from a shot, offering his back as a bouncing surface. For me Skinner will never bring a cup to Edmonton, don't care how many 'good streches' he shows at times!

  7. Give the Panthers some credit, they never gave up and out played the Oilers in the third. That goal off Skinners head was a beauty. Oilers just got out played by the cup champions.

  8. When will you start benching Bouchard kid is killing your team and yet he keeps getting put out there, he’ll stretcher and emberson had wayyy better games than him and they played less, bench him knob or you will get run out of town !

  9. We’re not winning the cup with Skinner! Period. Keep blaming the defence but when the time comes, Skinner never makes any crucial saves!

  10. Unbelievable, man….The Oilers totally outplayed the Panthers tonight, but of course, the refs were totally biased, calling all the soft penalties against us. You could see it…every time we had a chance to break through, some random non-call or weak penalty screws us over. It’s ridiculous. If the Oilers didn’t have to play against the refs AND the Panthers, we would’ve crushed them. Florida’s nothing compared to us anyway. Let’s be real, we should’ve won the Cup last year.. but injuries, bad luck, and, yeah, some bad officiating kept us from lifting it. But this year? It’s OUR year. We have the most firepower in the league, and everyone knows it.

And don't even get me started on Calgary losing to Florida too. Can you imagine? They couldn’t even hang with the Panthers, and they still think they’re contenders. Meanwhile, the Oilers are built for greatness. You know the Panthers can’t keep up with McDavid and Draisaitl, so don’t even act like this game means anything. We’re just biding our time until the playoffs, where we’ll show everyone who the real powerhouse is. Florida's just lucky tonight.
