NFL Coaching Matchmaker:Vacchiano list Brian Flores as perfect match for Giants

  1. I actually like the thought of Flores coming here. Don’t know if that ship has sailed though.

  2. Sues Giants for not hiring him

    Returns for another interview

    Doesn’t get hired again

    Sues Giants even harder

  3. Nah. His personal issues with Tua should DQ him for us.

It might work out with an established, veteran team but he’s not a good coach for a team that’s likely going to draft a rookie QB

  4. This isn’t gonna happen most likely, but if it’s true how he was treating/talking to Tua and etc. I want him no where near a rookie QB or a younger team in general.

  5. Can’t wait for Bill Belichick to text Brian Kelly to let him know that Flores got the job

  6. The coach has to be able to coach a rookie QB. Flores did that about as poorly as you could ask for in Miami

  7. Ralph Vacchiano is actually paid to pay attention to the NFL yet suggests something that clearly indicates he pays absolutely no attention to the NFL.

  8. Do these morons know Flores is in a active lawsuit with the Giants? I also don’t think Flores is great with rookie QB’s look at the Tua drama.

  9. Checks all the boxes in Mara’s dismal criteria:
    —Belichick connection
    —Talks like a military commander
—”Proven winner” (ignore the part where he took a fire axe to his highly drafted QB’s confidence)

I feel like Daboll and Schoen were the last refreshing hires we’re getting for a while. They tried one coach/GM combo that didn’t come from within the building and/or the Parcells bloodline and it didn’t work, so now we’re back to interviewing the most uninspiring dudes you can imagine.

  10. JFC, is Ralph high? Seriously, does he not remember what happened the last time or the lawsuit?

I’m not sure if he’s saying things like this to get clicks, but this is really surprising. And stupid.

  11. I wouldn’t mind him. Obviously the lawsuit will make him not want to come here, but he is a winning head coach and a tough one also. At least the fundamental stuff will cleaned up in terms of penalties for the giants.

Still prefer a young offensive mind though

  12. Galaxy brain level take. The team that has been sandbagged by the offense for 6 years, likely to bring in a rookie QB (potentially Deion Sanders’s son) really needs a defensive minded head coach who also has personal issues with 80% of people from his last HC job and an outstanding lawsuit against the org. My fucking dog could be a sports journalist these days.
