[Talking Yanks] “That’s a lie.”

Juan Soto said in an interview with @GrandesELD that no one from the Yankees mistreated his family. He says they are a 1A organization and his experiences with the team were great

  1. People are just thirsty for some personal drama on this. Seemed pretty clear he was just chasing bags, and good for him. Dude’s going to have a great career and be a first-ballot hall of famer.

  2. I appreciate him saying that, people are always ready to shit on us for any reason so him clearing the air is really nice.

  3. I fully think the Heyman hit pieces were Boras being too on-the-nose with the PR. He’s no master of subtlety, to say the least.

  4. After everything there are 2 facts with Soto.

    1. Cohen was always going to raise his offer no matter what.

    2. If Soto really wanted to be a Yankee, he would be.

That’s it. All these little stories are ways to attempt to show why Soto signed with the Mets and they don’t really matter.

He always said he was going to go with the highest bidder and he did.

  5. Fuck Soto, don’t give a shit what this two faced bitch has to say. He’s old news and plays for an irrelevant team now

  6. Soto is telling the truth here. He has no reason to lie. He’s no longer with the Yankees, and no longer a free agent. He even said in another interview he had issues with Manny Machado when in San Diego. If a Yankees staff member mistreated his family he would have said it. Media just needs clicks so they come up with stuff. People also want to rationalize why he left the Yankees. I have the answer, it was more money.

  7. He was always very clear that he was a mercenary, he got his bag, it is what it is. Time for fans stop acting like a jilted lover lol

  8. Despite how things played out, he made for a fun year and doesn’t seem to be a bad guy, despite what the media is trying to do.

He went for the HUGE money, can’t say I blame him. The rest of this is just noise. Wish him the best against 29 other teams.

  9. It makes me feel a lot better that he set the record straight. Good luck with your career.

  10. It’s a lie that no one mistreated his family? So someone *did*? Or is this just a horribly written headline?
