There are too many moving parts with signing Bregman and relocating Vientos across the diamond to first. You're absolutely correct about Stearns allowing Pete and Manea to test the market and come back with their best offer, an offer that Uncle Stevie can match. Bringing back Pete is retaining the most prolific player we've ever produced since Doc, Darryl, and David. Polar Bear and Soto back-to-back for the next decade seems pretty d@mn good! 18. Not mad that Juan Soto is here. In my opinion, we really didn't need him but it's a game of chess. The Mets and fans like me definitely didn't wanna see him going to the Dodgers even though it looked like he was gonna stay with the Yanks.

    As for another slugger, nah. We need room for all our new home grown guys that I wanna see become superstars with the Mets like Azuna, Bret Baty, Mauricio etc.

    I was suprised about Jose Siri coming. Not mad. Would've liked them to bring back Comforto more than anything. And as for pitching, either bring up some guys from the Minors and get them going and maybe try to get Jacob Degrom back. Just my opinion here. I think as for hitting goes, like I said, we got what we need already. At least with Soto hopefully, we can edge out the Dodgers in scoring.

39. Mets haven't made much of a splash since signing Soto. But it's somewhat understandable. The Alonso state of affairs has improved for Mets fans eager to have him back. But, imo, not for reason or reasons, you and most people are implying. I'm confident that both sides of the negotiations table, between Alonso and Mets, have always and will continue sharing this core feeling … BOTH SIDES ULTIMATELY WANT ALONSO TO REMAIN WITH THE NY METS! Walker's recent signing doesn't effect Alonso's destination. It has, however improved Cohen's spending situation. Thus, certainly seeing Alonso signing for less years and less money than Boras hoped. Watch for Alonso signing well before the end of December. Goldshmidt is an unlikely addition, at 20 million.

40. I hope they re-sign ALONSO,the perfect fit to protect JUAN SOTO. STEARNS has been pussy footing too long regarding ALONSO. Now they need to get a good DH and re-sign MANAEA.. Also for a deeper bench, re-sign WINKER and JOSR IGLESIAS. There's a young pitcher in SAN DIEGO who throws also a knucker and the METS could trade for him. BUT I PREFER LUZARDO and or CASTILLO..
