  1. Toronto misses out on any big free agent and makes trades for so so players. Vlad goes to free agency and Roger's resign Shapiro and shatkins

  2. FIRST OFF NOT YELLING JUST LIKE TYPING THIS WAY BUT I'M NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE BASEBALL SITE YOU USE TO DO OR MAKE TRADES BUT I WOULD LIKE YOU TO DO A COUPLE TRADE SCENARIOS CAUSE NOT SURE WHAT ALL PIECES TO MAKE IT WORK. FIRST TRADE IS A 4 TEAM TRADE MARINERS, PHILLIES, RED SOX, AND WHITE SOX THE MARINERS WOULD GET CASAS FROM RED SOX ALSO CASTELLANOS AND BOHM FROM PHILLIES. THE PHILLES WOULD GET ONE OF THE RED SOX SP CRAWFORD HOUCK OR BELLO BUT ALSO GET ROBERT FROM WHITE SOX. THE RED SOX GETS CASTILLO FROM MARINERS AND BENINTENDI FROM WHITE SOX. THE WHITE SOX GET RANDOM PLAYERS FROM ALL THREE TEANS BUT ALSO OTHER PLAYERS THOWN IN TO HELP COULD BE RALEY, HANIGER AND PROSPECTS. THE SECOND TRADE SCENARIO IS A 3 TEAM TRADE BETWEEN PADRES, RED SOX, AND MARLINS. THE RED SOX GET CEASE, ARRAEZ, AND CRONENWORTH FROM PADRES. THE PADRS GET 3 SPs EITHER WHICH EVER 2 OF THE SPs NOT IN OTHER TRADE FROM RED SOX AND 1 OR 2 TOP SPs FROM MARLINS, THE MARLINS GET WHATEVER PROSPECTS THE 2 TEAMS CAN GIVE THEM. THE THIRD SCENARIO IS A 3 TEAM TRADE BETWEEN MARINERS, ANGELS, AND CARDINALS. THE MARINERS GET GORMAN. THE ANGELS GET ARENADO AND I KNOW THAT MAKES 2 OR 3 3Bs BUT 1 PLAYS 1B ANOTHER COULD BE DH. BUT CARDINALS COULD GET RENDON OR WHATEVERS BOTH TEAMS COULD SEND THEM. THE4TH SCENARIO IS JUST 2 TEAMS BUT HOPEFULLY IF OTHER TRADES GO THOUGH THEN THE ASTROS COULD TRADE VALDEZ TO RED SOX FOR WHATEVER RED SOX COULD GIVE THEM BACK IN RETURN JUST SO THE RED SOX COULD HAVE A ROTATION OF CROCHET, CASTILLO, CEASE, VALDEZ, AND GIOLITO JUST TO STICK IT TO THE YANKEES CAUSE I HATE THAT P. O. S. TEAM. BUT AT LEAST PADRES COULD HAVE 5 GOOD SPs TO STICK IT TO DODGERS CAUSE I HATE THAT P. O. S. TEAM ALSO

  3. Jim, of all of the MLB podcasters, you are the most compelling, by far. It isn't that I am such a fan that I always look for you. No. But almost every time the algorithm brings you up, it's compelling. Take a bow, man! ✔️
Seems like the Tigers still consider a right handed outfielder as something they desire. Not sure that I do.
Could we package Tork, Jace Jung, and Malloy somehow? Malloy has disciplined at bats. Hope we find a way to keep him. Keeping these guys in some capacity is also a decent move. Fix the young Tork. Recovery from wrist problems for Jace. Good offense in the minors. Not a great 3rd baseman, though, plus, 2nd base is covered. Detroit doesn't want a full-time DH. If we add, say, Teoscar, where does that leave Malloy, with Carpenter taking more DH roles. Hmm Trades are viable. All of these guys have upsides. Hmm

  4. I want BREGMAN, Goldshmidt and Sazaki. Tigers Goldshmidt till BRICENO is ready. Sazaki might like being with one of the all time best pitching coaches (CHRIS FETTER). Harris & Hinch know the must improve at 3rd: Bregman

  5. Don’t count the Braves out for signing vladdy next year. Ozuna is probably gone after this season. Vladdy and Olson could platoon DH and First Base.

  6. not a mets fan, but a trade for vladdy would make them a super attractive destination for upcoming free agents. lindor, vladdy, and soto…imagine that
if im the mets gm, i think i may pull the trigger on a trade now…if u have to overspend, so be it,,,,just sign him to an extension, ez

  7. Arenado gave a list of 6 teams he would waive his no-trade for. The Astros were not on that list. The Cardinals gave him that right, then tried to trade him where he didn't want to go. The Cardinals are the bad guy here, not Arenado.

  8. The Cardinals seem to be completely lost right now. I don't know if it is ownership or the front office, but someone is doing everything wrong right now.

How do you keep your hitting coach all year when the team is hitting so poorly and players like Walker and Gorman who were supposed to be central to the young core were both sent to the minors to work on their swing? Not to mention the struggles from Goldy and Arenado that a hitting coach should have helped them tune up. How do you wait until the end of the year to fire the coach who couldn't get them hitting? It might not have worked, but make the change.

What exactly was the point of trading for Fedde and Pham? Pham had that great moment of the grand slam in his debut back with the team, but that was pretty much all he did before they released him. Fedde pitched okay, but the team continued to flounder due to a complete lack of offense. What did they give up for those two players? Tommy Edman who went on the win the NLCS MVP and a World Series ring with the Dodgers.

Speaking of the Dodgers…Jack Flaherty is a player that the Cardinals gave up on and he also just won a World Series for Los Angeles pitching some pretty important playoff games. What exactly did they get in that trade? Anyone productive on this year's squad that needed pitching and hitting? NOPE!!!

As of now the 2025 Cardinals rotation is shaping up to be Sonny Gray (assuming they can't talk him into a trade), Miles Mikolas (assuming they can't get someone to take what's left of his contract), Erick Fedde (assuming they don't trade him after acquiring him over the summer), Steven Matz (assuming that they can't find someone to take what's left of his albatross of a contract off of their hands, and Andre Pallante. Mikolas is washed up…he can't get guys out anymore. Matz has been one of the worst contracts in Cardinals history because he can't stay healthy; he's made 1 season't worth of starts (34) across 3 seasons in St Louis and there is no reason to expect him to be healthy in 2025. Erick Fedde pitched well in 2024 after a year in Korea, but his track record before that isn't great so nobody knows what kind of pitcher he really is long term. Pallante had a breakout kind of showing in the second half last year but he only has 30 starts in his career with 20 last year so you don't know what he will be like in a full season.

Outside of Sonny Gray the rotation is all question marks with some being much bigger than others.

The front office would be actively shopping Willson Contreras if not for his no trade clause so he's being pushed to first base because the team has no interest in spending money to either bring back Goldy or bring in a different free agent first basemen.

There is young talent on the team, but at this point the team may not reach relevance while they are still wearing Cardinals uniforms.

They're becoming the pre-2016 Chicago Cubs…bumbling and incompetent.

  9. If I ranthe Rockies, I'd be sell off all good pieces and take in bad contracts for power hitting prospects. I'd make the best power hitting team ever within 5 years. They are terribly ran seeing as they dont take good advantage of their ballpark.😂😂😂

  10. Most confusing to me is why Rogers is allowing these 2 clowns in the front office run this team into the ground. Unless for some bizarre reason they agree with enrie and bert idk

  11. Mets don’t have a need for Carlos Correa yet they offered him a deal 2 years ago 🤷‍♂️. And the mariners are not asking for too much they don’t have to deal Castillo and teams want him they have to make it worth the mariners while, they wanna make sure their major league roster actually improves they don’t want prospects.

  12. You say nobody needs or can get Correa, but the Braves definitely could. They have a payroll of 201m, and Anthropolous has stated the Braves are not scared of passing the luxury tax. They definitely have the capital too with Nacho Alvarez, AJSS, Hurston Waldrup, etc. I'd imagine it would cost Nacho Alvarez, AJSS, JR Ritchie, and maybe one more prospect to get Correa and Trevor Larnach. That can definitely happen.
