  1. Santander….on a one year contract??? That's definitely not going to happen. He's not looking for aa short deal after last season. The Yankees are a better fit for him. The Mets already have sufficient options at DH. They'll pivot to the bullpen to spend that money. Cohen isn't an open wallet. Stearns isn't going to simply throw money everywhere. They have bigger needs than DH right now. They've come a long way since Daniel Vogebach. Remember….. they have several kids with upside trying to break into the opening day roster. It's time to give them opportunities. Winker certainly fits with his left handed bat and his energy…..I don't see a need beyond that. Don't forget.,.too….that the trade deadline will certainly be addressed in 2025. They will certainly be BUYERS.

  2. I hadn’t really thought about Brandon Lowe, but that seems like a really solid move. I like the idea of bringing Winker back, but if that doesn’t happen I’d be confident with a Lowe/Marte tandem at DH.

  3. We need to prioritize over anything else now after signing manaea is a bridge to diaz that is a set up man highly effective that also if diaz gets injured or has a bad year could slide into the closer role

  4. Jurickson Profar is an ideal offensive switch hitting free agent candidate who can hit, run and play outfield. Cedric Mullins and Jazz Chisholm, Jr are perfect left handed trade candidates. Both could play outfield or platoon with Starling Marte at DH. Jazz, however, could play infield and adds speed to the team. Lets Go Mets!!!

  5. No one’s talking about this and I will continue to beat this drum, Francisco Alvarez is having a good season until he tore his thumb up

  6. The way you look in depth at our beloved team is unparalleled! You back up everything with details & stats! Very rarely do I hear you swayed by emotional opinions. Mets fans are lucky to have your podcasts!!

  7. Hi Ryan, there are good options out there, and they won't break the Mets' one-year or two-year deals. You mentioned a few good complementary players; you can't go wrong with any of those choices. I especially like Brandon Lowe and Jurickson Profar. What a deal you are to get this kind of talent for little money and no risk on a short contract deal.

  8. Alonzo and Winker would have all the vibes and solidify this as one of the very best batting lineups in baseball. If that combo saves us enough to get an additional reliever or two, we would be set up as one of the teams to beat.
