(Continued) I’ve covered the NFL a LONG time and I can guarantee you this has been the foremost topic of discussion in the corner offices at Colts HQs this week. It’s a team decision, not a player decision. That’s how these things work.

The end.

  1. If he doesn’t play, could we say that this season has been “worst case scenario” for him?

  2. “Soft”

Most of these people asking don’t do anything in their daily life even remotely close to taking the punishment of an NFL season. Hilarious.

  3. I get the idea of being fully healthy in the off-season so he is setup to finally have a full one and give him the best opportunity to succeed, but man, real reps in what might be a meaningful game is tough to give up. Hopefully the back gets better (guessing he is having spasms) and he can give it a go on Sunday.

  4. Not going to call him soft but I will question his durability. I don’t want to be in year 4-5 still wondering if he’s the guy because he can’t stay on the field.

  5. I’m an ar fan, I think he has a shot to be great. Reality is, This all goes back to the tap out, that stink will be on him for a while. I’d like to see him gut it out and atleast try to go Sunday despite not practicing. Obviously if he’s no good, get Flacco in there. Qbs don’t practice all week and still play all that time

  6. I mean if he doesn’t play due to “soreness” then yeah he’s soft but I still think he’s going to play.

  7. It’s also his back. Back soreness is not the same as soreness elsewhere. It’s debilitating and can lead to long term damage.

  8. Part of me thinks holder just used “soft” to stir things up (I’ve also never liked holder)

  9. So Taylor carried the ball 29 times, got tackled at least 20 times and didn’t sit out practice because he was sore. Richardson 9 carries, 3 times didn’t get tackled at all that’s all the film I could find, and is sore. Also, he looked fine with 1:45 left in the 4th on his last carry which he slides (ironically 1:45 in the linked video below). Weird

  10. I hope he plays and all these dipshits can get off twitter and Reddit and go outside.

  11. This one is the FO. Either dude is soft or the FO making him look soft and it’s an actual serious injury. Bad look for the FO either way.

  12. I think he’s too honest instead of telling staff he’s fine and toughing things out.

  13. I don’t have an opinion either way on this I just don’t understand why guys like Lamar, Allen, Mahomes can run around all day – he’ll even Rothlesberger could take a beating for over a decade but the most athletically gifted, biggest physical specimen of a QB that’s ever existed can’t make it one season.

  14. Imagine that a guy that was drafted because of his physical capabilities and not his history of good football in college is apparently made from paper and injury prone. So much for the one thing that he was drafted for. LOL

  15. They refuse to let him play with any sort of soreness, and yet people flipped out when he assumed it made sense to leave the game for a play when he was hurt. Crazy that someone trained to protect themselves “for the good of the team” did that and then got destroyed for it
