  1. Lol padres wanting sasaki is like a College kid blowing money on a bmw instead of getting a beater car with a 9-5 job at a supermarket.

    Why would sasaki go to Padres knowing he’ll jsut get traded like soto or can’t commit to like Snell when y’all had both of them.

    Regarding Roki Sasaki: May the good Lord allow the Padres to sign him on my birthday which is January 15th! That would be a great gift to me and all Padres fans! Keep up the good work.

  5. As I have said before if we get a really good offer for Cease, we move him since it's highly likely he won't re-sign with us. I think we'll get Roki, re-sign Profar, and will find a backup veteran catcher to help Campusano. AJ will make moves and we just need to let him do his thing. if we don't get Roki, we have depth in our pitching and we know Niebla will cook with whoever we have.

  6. Question for Monday's Show: If the Padres don't re-sign Profar, who is a solid under the radar cheap Free Agent we could sign or do we go with Tirso Ornelas? What free agent catchers are still available?

This is getting very frustrating watching guys who could help us – like Walker Buehler, Joc Pederson, Higgy, etc. – sign with other teams while we have done nothing to lock up Profar or solidify our catching situation. But the prices for all of these FAs (not just Soto) seem incredibly high. Preller seems reluctant join the fray.

  11. Waiting for Roki to make a decision is kind of torture. Really hoping he picks the Padres, but have a strange feeling he might go with another team no one is expecting like the Cubs or Rangers…..both teams Darvish played on earlier in his career. Hope I am wrong. Also think the padres need to trade Arraez, because 14 mil is kind of steep, hopefully a team will trade. Also, Arraez has gone to arbitration hearing before with another club, but Preller, I believe rarely takes a player to an arbitration hearing, but he did mention that Arraez needs to have a better obp with more walks. Fully agree we need another sp because of Musgrove's injury.

  12. Preller made a big mistake by not signing Profar already. Now that Pederson is getting 2y @ $37M and Teoscar signed for 3y @ $66M, Profar is going to want $20M/y when we probably could've signed him for around $10M/y a month ago.
