  1. I’m going to give the coach 10 games before I make any decisions.

    So far things look better but even under Lalonde we had dominant games that we couldn’t win.

    The roster still has massive holes and you’re not going to out-coach a bad roster.

    I think our forward core can get better results but our D-Core is bad. Only having 2 top 4 D is hard to work around.

  2. Was at the Latvia canada game last night and wow was that a game. Pretty clear live that canada got out coached. Canada was the better team and Latvian goalie played an amazing game, but the Latvians were tighter defensively and had a lot more skill than I would have given them credit for.

    Canada gave Latvia space on the rush where Latvians were glued to them. It was impressive to watch Latvia collapse as a 4 man unit and block shots and close lanes and they were aggressive as hell in front of the net and finishing hits. I don’t think the shots were indicative at all of how close of a game it was even if canada had a large edge in possesion. Best game of the tourny so far easily and I’ve seen every group A game live so far

  5. I know it’s purely coincidence but the Wings have not been the same since they added the Priority patch towards the end of last season.

    On a serious note, I’m excited to see what McLellan can get out of this group and hopefully some help on defense comes soon!
