Beantown’s newest addition: Walker Buehler

  1. I remember when we were excited about big free agents and not guys on a 1 year deal coming off a mid 5 era

  2. Everyone fucking crying about money like spending the most automatically makes you the best team. I get it typically trends that way, and we’ve been operating like the rays in recent history, but they were never going to do Burnes + crochet or walker. so I’m pumped they still added two of the top 10 arms available. (Probably the 3rd and 7th or 8th. If Buehler is even close to what he was in 2021 he’s almost as good if not better than Burnes).

Long term investments just for the sake of long investments isn’t usually worth it. With all of the kids Bos has coming up, it makes sense for them to maintain some roster flexibility while still going all out. Makes sense if they’re interested in Bregman to wait it out where you can get him for 4/120 with an option rather than 7.

  3. If this is the end of Buehler’s time with the Dodgers. I’m glad he ended it, by getting the last 3 outs to beat the Yankees and win the World Series. Hopefully Buehler does great in Boston. If the Sox make it to October, you will see the real Butane!

  4. red sox spending money on pitching in the off season??? i used to pray for times like these
