  1. im leaning more towards keep him at triple a just to make sure the season he had at triple a is not a fluke. not saying it will be but to take a big jump from triple a to the majors right away its gonna be tough. i mean if hes ready for it go for it but keep him at triple a and if he dominates then bring him up

  2. It's looking like:
    1. Duran LF
    2. Campbell 2B
    3. Devers 3B
    4. Story SS
    5. Casas 1B
    6. Rafaela CF
    7. Abreu RF
    8. Yoshida DH
    9. Wong C

Bench: Refsnyder, Grissom, Narvaez, Hamilton. It's possible Hamilton wins 2B job out of camp and Romy backs him up. Anthony first call-up when injuries inevitably strike. This way we have strong defense everywhere except 3B and C. Casas should improve.

  3. If Anthony dominates spring training as he has the minor leagues it will be difficult to leave him off the roster.

The challenge is the roster spot. I do not want the Sox to trade Abreau just to clear a spot. When they trade Abreau it should fill a specific need and yield a solid a return.

Rafael needs to figure out how not to chase. He hits well for average, with occasional power. If he can turn strikeouts into walks his OBP and therefore OPS will climb. Otherwise I think he becomes a super utility player (especially next year when Refsnyder is gone). That could create an opening for Anthony.

  4. Interesting video but don't see path unless Redsox make series of move as follows:
    First trade Yoshida.
    Move Rafaela 2B
    If no Brinkman, Campbell 3B
    Move Devers DH
    If he's ready Anthony LF

    Then you have lineup:
    Duran CF
    Brinkman/Campbell 3B
    Devers DH
    Story SS
    Casas 1B
    Wong C
    Anthony LF
    Rafaela 2B
    Abrea RF

    Hamilton inf
    Gonzalez inf
    Refsydner of
    Catcher backup

  5. Roman Anthony is not gonna play until September… the Red Sox are not the Tampa Bay Rays who move quickly on developing their prospects.. the Red Sox let their prospects sit in the minors for 5 years before they see MLB action

  6. People complaining again about not getting someone. Burnes didnt sign for money. Went to Arizona because of family and taxes. People need to do research before making stupid comments

  7. I think Roman is going to be electric but unlike Soto he doesn't cost 700 million. I'm happier with our TEAM than signing a mercenary hitter. Campbell and Anthony are more fun to cheer for than watching 700 million take a walk lol. Yeah Soto is great but 700 mil takes the fun out of it. Go Redsox!!

  8. There’s a better chance John Henry forces his chief GM to attach Roman Anthony to Yoshida just to jettison Masataka’s contract & completely waste another major resource Alah Mookie Betts. Compared to locking up the Roman Empire to an early extension…

  9. You must be in my head Corbin! I am a huge Roman Anthony fan. I actually like his overall multi-tool game more than Soto! I am extremely excited about Anthony . I cannot wait to see him in Boston. We should be excited about our prospects! We got some serious players!!! Flaunt it my good fellow !!! I love it. We just need to figure out how we are going to play everyone. Yes sir. I would love Bregman on this team as well. What about Hunter Dobbins? I like what I am reading and seeing about him. He might be getting close ? Joe

  10. I couldn’t agree more with you Corbin regarding Anthony. No one’s ever a lock until they’re in the majors and regularly facing 98 – 100 mph heat and sliders that leave batters frozen in the batters box. But Anthony seems like the real deal! Yesterday i commented that I would have liked to have seen the Sox sign Teoscar but not if it any way slowed Anthony’s progress. Now I see a starting four outfielders of Duran, Rafaela, Abreu and Anthony. Maybe Abreu starting in right but Anthony getting every shot to overtake him or Rafaela. Still need a righty bat!

  11. I'd like him in LF. Duran in CF and Rafaella as a super-sub utility player. Even if they pick up another RH bat. I guess it may be between Bregman, Arenado or Santander at 3B/OF/DH.

  12. Look at most of the "can't miss" prospects around baseball the last few years. They're planning on bringing him up to be a savior which can be too much for these kids. I'm hopeful for him but I'm not betting on him to have immediate success.

  13. Im stoked to see him play on the big league club. Him and Campbell. I just hate an organization as big as the Sox putting all this pressure on unproven talent. Dont seem to smart and is completely avoidable but heres to the young cats man.

  14. I have already accepted the true fact that John SOB Henry is not going to spend money.. Su Breslow has to be very careful about making trades to make the Redsox better..

  15. Anthony has not proven himself over time and it remains to be seen if he makes the club this year. I'd say let him prove himself in triple A in 2025 and then see if he's ready by September.

  16. For one your equating minor league pitching to major league all stars secondly Anthony struggled at AAA not hitting above 270 and striking out 1 / 4 times up.

Promising although no doubt is his overall potential based on his
    Overall minor league
stats but he’s inky 21 and mlb & Sox history are full of prospects more heralded then Roman who didn’t make it
    Yoan Moncada
    Hanley Ramirez
    Ryan Westmoreland

    So lees temper our enthusiasm
