Corbin Burnes SIGNS With The DBacks! It’s A Sad Day For Orioles, Giants & Blue Jays.

Corbin Burnes has signed with the DBacks, giving them an amazing 1-2 duo at the top of their rotation with him and Gallen. Great job by Arizona to pull this off despite all of their RSN troubles over the last year plus. BUT it’s a sad day for Orioles, Giants and Jays fans as they lose out on a top target.

  1. As a Jays fan, I don’t really care. Burnes would not have turned this team around. IMO, there’s nothing that can be done to make this team a contender this year. Wasted money trying to sign someone like Burnes. Start the rebuild.

  2. We already knew he was either going to the Diamondbacks or San Francisco. He lives in Arizona. We can expect more of this bullcrap when Gunnar Henderson negotiates his new deal. He's a Boras client too.

  3. The Orioles could've had a good season without resigning Burnes (who didn't want to be here regardless) but they chose not to.

The Orioles need pitching blah, blah, blah but that lineup still has a lot of issues. The most recent playoff sweep showed how bad the lineup could be. That was a microcosm of the second half. Burnes was lights out in that game and they did nothing. Why would he want to come back to that and to a city he didn't want to be in? Anyone looking at things realistically and unbiased would realize that he wasn't coming back. Last year's trade deadline proved that they are not committed to doing what's necessary.

  4. Hear me out O’s fans, what would you think about a Luis Castillo for Mountcastle, McDermott, and Fabian trade? Then we make a splash for Alonso for 5 years $110-$120 million in free agency. Does this sound like a good move? The O’s team salary will increase dramatically, but the team will get better and have pieces for the present and long term. In both the lineup and rotation.

  5. As Jays Fan. I Was Very Pissed Off About This. That Corbin Burnes Signed With Arizona Diamondbacks For 6-Years. $210 Million Deal. And This Very Sad Day For Giants Blue Jays & Orioles FanBase And Is Not Looking Good For Blue Jays Ownership Is Dumpster Fire. And Ross Atkins Sucks I Hate That Guy And I Was Very Mad About Hear This News. And Good Signing By Arizona Diamondbacks For Got Corbin Burnes And Nice Rotation For The D-Backs And NoBody Wants To Play In Canada And That’s Canada Sucks. And That’s It I’m Done About Get Trolling By Stupid Reporters And That’s Tough For Blue Jays Giants And Orioles FanBase. And It’s Over. And I’m Done. Bro.

  6. that's how should small market teams operate …. i know it's hard to compete with big market teams like it's already an unfair competition ….. but do what san fran giants did during their 3 title run & the d'backs during 2K ….. just spend your money with all star starting pitchers ….. the d'backs won with randy johnson & curt schilling with no all star hitters except luis gonzales …. san fran won 3 💍s with great starting pitchers & a bunch of no name hitters except buster posey ….. let's go yankees !!!!!

  7. Arizona showing other "small market" teams (I'm looking at you Seattle Mariners) that you can actually spend money even tho you're not LA or NY. Cheap as$ owners need to spend or sell. No excuses

  8. Mike Hazen might be the best GM in baseball. He’s always able to pull off miracles. This wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card and the Dbacks rotation is going to be absurd.

  9. DBacks needed pitching, he lives is AZ, zero state income taxes? Capitalism and family values win, sorta…but Gallon is gone after 2025, even if burnes decides to opt in…

  10. Im a jays fan. I never thought we were getting Burnes. I think they will overpay Santander on a 2 year deal since they just have cash no one else wants n then theyll get whatever pitcher is left on the market in March and thatll be the offseason. I never expecting a big offseason. I stopped believing in this management after the 2022 offseason.

  11. Not only did he gave them the number but also a deadline. He said the first day he step foot in camp…he will no longer negotiate with the bluejays and he will consider himself free agent
