   Family Christmas got pushed back cause my sister-in-law got sick when we originally planned for it.

7. Does this sub really think Söderblom is doing well this year? I’m shocked at the reaction I got to pointing out his low point totals. For someone that got a look at the NHL level earlier than most forward prospects, I think he’s been super underwhelming but apparently I’m in the minority? People wanna see him come up to add “grit” we don’t need grit, we need pucks in the net.

   5-3 Redwings Ovie hat trick incoming but the Russian Machine doesn’t break the Wings.

9. UNLVs club team beat Denver in an exhibition last night. Made me think…isn’t it weird that the growth of the game in “non traditional” markets hasn’t led to more D1 programs rising up in those markets? You’d think some schools in Florida, Texas, California, Tennessee, North Carolina, etc. would’ve added varsity hockey but I guess in a world where football revenue is the only thing that seems to matter to athletic departments, it may never happen? 

10. Next years UFA defensive class is actually really strong for once. It’ll be interesting to see how that unfolds. Also very TBD on who actually ends up getting to UFA

11. Looking forward to this game, I think Detroit’s 3rd period against the Maple Leafs was a different pace and a well needed one. I can’t wait to see how McLellan works the team today.

12. Wow I had no idea the caps were 13 games above .500
