The MLB offseason has seen significant activity with standout signings and legal battles. Right-handed pitcher Corbin Burnes signed a six-year, $210 million contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks, opting for lower taxes in Arizona over more lucrative offers from the Toronto Blue Jays and San Francisco Giants. Meanwhile, Teoscar Hernandez agreed to return to the Los Angeles Dodgers on a three-year, $66 million deal that includes a considerable amount of deferred money, reducing the current payroll impact. The Toronto Blue Jays have had a challenging offseason, missing out on several high-profile free agents like Burnes, Hernandez, Juan Soto, and Max Fried. Additionally, former Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson is reportedly suing the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA). Will it help the Jays recruit Free Agents moving forward?

  1. The orioles moves during this offseason will definitely not help their case in the playoffs. it's disappointing. Since I'm in orioles fan I think they needed Corbin Burns. We need better pitching as well.

  2. Any team in the league can use deferrals. The Dodgers are smart for doing, because in the end, much of the advertising and merchandising funds will pay for those deferrals. C'mon Fuzzy, don't call my team that. Especially when Guardians is one of the worst team names in existence. They need to go back to being the Indians.

  3. Sounds like the O's need some of those Fuzzy-Bucks😅. But seriously, I 100 percent agree with the GM. If you're going to spend money spend it on the players you developed in your own organization. Spending an unlimited amount of money on free agents is the opposite of genius.

  4. Corbin Burnes to the Diamondbacks and Téo back with the Dodgers… meanwhile, Orioles fans are left watching their team penny-pinch. Ownership saying 'no thanks' to spending is a slap in the face to their own potential…

  5. Giants definitely won several World Series w/ a lot of luck and a pitcher friendly ballpark. Now that ballpark is doing nothing for them. Management must be bad in players’ eyes.
You’re right-moneyball is dead. Worst philosophy ever.

  6. The truth is you can not win it all with spending money in over thirty years one team with pay roll in the bottom half has won a world series , it may be possible to win with a lower payroll but not likely the odds are over 30 to 1 .

  7. Corbin burnes turned down the orioles offer to go to the dbacks. The orioles owner did try but Corbin was smart and went somewhere else for money after you look at taxes.

  8. When the current CBA runs out get ready for a strike over deferred money. The owners don’t want it and the players do. It’s going to be a back biting bitter strike.

  9. I bleed Dodger Blue, thanks to Vin Scully and growing up in 1960s LA. Last year many of our jealousy drivers were injured, haters forget. You just don't know due to humans playing this crazy game. To Fuzzy's point, any team can do what the Doggers are doing, it's all a gamble. The Baseball Gods rule the outcome, Spring training sets the tone. Can your team beat the 2025 Dodgers? Sure….so cheer them on while hating our team will fuel the outcome once again. 🎉

  10. Hey Fuzzy, Toronto Blue Jays fan here. I really don’t know what we can do with free agents now. Seems like we are banking more on a big trade with Bo Bichette. Which makes me sad. Love your channel. Thanks for doing what you do all winter man!

  11. Only 5 teams outside the top 10 payroll team, has won a world series in the last 30 years. Only 2 in the last 15 years. Going forward, the top 3 payroll teams will win 9 of the next 10 world series.

  12. friedman and the dodgers have worked hard and reinvested to get to now….a well oiled machine. they pay and win. no wonder players want to trot out for the dodgers. anybody think sasaki has in the back of his mind that yamamoto signed for $325 million? the padres are cutting payroll and are on a spending limit. i doubt sasaki having his mentor in san diego will take his mind off floating in a sea of money.
