3. We built our team for the run. Blocking WRs that can't get open….😏

6. Let me sum this up.. DK "don't believe your lying eyes" ….DK, the team sucks.

7. Pretty simple – winning cures many ills. You cannot have a 4 game losing streak to finish the season. They blew it by playing sloppy, undisciplined, careless football. Why should I feel good about this team right now?

   If they want to fix themselves, they need to get back to winning in all phases

8. Not bummed out. My expectations are still the same as theyve always been. This team is average and will remain average for the forseeable future. Just hope for a few bounces, that's it.

9. Their garbage defense will match ours, don’t act like Russell is gonna flip a switch. He is what we thought he was. Go Joe!!!!

11. I definitely still care. The Steelers just need to get healthy. If the Ravens win the game before I think Coach Tomlin rests his starters after 2 Qtrs unless it affects our seeding.

13. Start of season, nobody gave steelers hope. We were expected to finish 4th in the division.

    During season people took notice and over hyped the steelers.

    Now we loose 3 on the bounce and we have already been written off. I think we are going to come out firing as underdogs. We play better as under dogs.

    I think we will make it to afc championship game!

14. I think what has happened is the fans have FINALLY given up hope about our head coach. (for a many number of reasons). Except for the national media who is still in the Tomlin personality cult (that's what it is). They are getting ripped for that by the fans who know what is going on. All a person has to do is look at the myriad of reasonable evidence tomlin has presented over the years to see. There is quite a long list of very inept choices made. Maybe if we lose to the Bengals and get ousted in the first round, a head coaching change can be made and we can have a good team again. Otherwise it will just be more of the same every year going forward

15. There is no hope, just reality! In the NFL you are in January who you were in December. I wouldn't at all be surprised if the Steelers lose to the Bengals and then drop to 6th seed and go to Baltimore and lose by double digits again!

17. People don't think it's a 1970s or 1990s or whatever you call it offense because of prioritizing the running game over the passing game. I think it's more like they are tired of the relatively basic playcalling with no creativity, which doesn't put your players in position to succeed. Don't get me wrong, they have improved offensively from the absolutely horrid Matt Canada playbook. But it's like shifting from a 1985-90 offense to a 2005-10 offense. It mearly moved the needle but it doesn't do enough to become real contenders. The problem is that Arthur Smith only draws up mostly run of the mill passing and running schemes for Russell Wilson because he doesn't have athletic traits like Allen, Mahomes, Daniels, Lamar, Burrow, Mayfield, Hurts, Herbert, and others to actually run a complicated scheme. That is a huge problem, especially when you consider that this team has a deficiency at wide receiver that can't bail Wilson out. Not that Fields is particularly the answer either since he isn't the greatest passer ever, but with Fields in there, you saw a little more of what modern playcalling looked like. This included designed quarterback runs, run pass option, play action pass, play action run, quarterback sneaks on 4th and short, etc. The biggest thing is they still didn't let Fields take a ton of shots downfield like Wilson, but I feel like the playcalling has been dumbed down to Wilson. Wilson obviously is the more polished and experienced quarterback, so he has a better read on defense, but the nfl has kind of phased out of the throw heavy style of football into more of a dual threat quarterback league. The Steelers are at least 10 years behind the league in this particular aspect, and while Wilson and Fields was an improvement, it still doesn't stack up well with the top quarterbacks and offenses in the league. Combining that with a lack of star power on offense to help negate some of it and you have a recipe for finishing mediocre.

18. A coaching tree is just a reflection of the success that the coordinators have had under a head coach. The reason Tomlin doesn’t have one may be interesting. Is it because nobody believes the D coordinators are really in charge? Or has there been an O coordinator who has been particularly good besides Haley? I don’t care if he has a tree but not having one after 18 years may be a symptom of something worth noting.

20. Whme Tómlin bounces ,we have new hope and no more 5 games openers or closers. He need to ease up on practice in late season. NO PLAN.

21. I think is was kind of a reality check that we are not a tier 1 team and fans are bummed out about that, after having hope that maybe the Steelers had a chance to do something

22. Tomlin coaching the Steelers reminds me of Marvin Lewis coaching the Cincinnati Bengals. He won many regular season games, most by any Bengals coach, but couldn’t win in the playoffs. The Bengals eventually ended up getting rid of Lewis and hired Zac Taylor. They struggled for a couple years but eventually made it to the SB.
    Time for a change in Pittsburgh if Tomlin goes 1 and done in the playoffs this year.

24. Great Shot DK , Since you brought up the Elephant in the ROOM!!! Mike Tomlin is Overrated and Everyone else knew that Bill A-Cheat and New England Cheat-R-Us. If Mike Tomlin could of Swallowed his own EGO and Admitted that Mason Rudolph deserved a chance to Prove himself and just as soon as Mike Tomlin patted his own EGO and Admitted that's why he's compensated for his Job!!!

26. This is a good team. I get bummed when we lose for sure, but I have hope. Always! Beat the Bangels, and then beat the fake Texas team, and who knows! Here We Go! I listen to all your DK daily links for over a year now from Greece!

27. Let's run first, and add quick short passes to open up the field for longer moon passes. Strong defense with a few turnovers and get to and hit the QB. Steady strong special teams play. Lastly, we have the best kicker Bos! All that with a little bit of luck and you never know what could happen in this league. Here We Go #7 Lombardi!

29. Doesn’t it get old for you DK? It’s the same story every year. Steelers are almost the pirates of the NFL. Never spend money on actually good coaches and then let good coaches walk as in munchak and Flores. I mean how stupid can they be

30. The hopelessness feeling is so profound. Getting blown out 3 times in 11 days is just an unrecoverable gut punch. Makes me question everything. Including what is now an unhealthy relationship with my football team.

31. im not bummed because i was never sold for me that 3 game stretch wasnt about clinching the north getting a home playoff it was to see where we stacked up and unfortunately my suspicions were confirmed we're not an elite team im bummed about ownership refusing to get out of the stone ages and adapt to modern times and until we do that i dont expect different results

Talk about ripping the band aid off and exposing your weakness and boy these three games has exposed our character and the ability to put the proper talent on the field by the coaches my heart says we can get through this but my brain 🧠 is beginning to see that’s this year was just a different story same results and that’s on coaching all the way up to ownership

33. Couldn’t agree more with your take on the playoffs, does it honestly matter what seed they are? If you’re not #1 or #2 it’s kind of the same across the board

34. Yes, DK I completely understand the withdrawal of the fan base from anything Steelers base media…. After all, I had to get drunk to come here to listen to anything related to the team after this three game losing streak.😂😂😂😂😂 please don’t hold this against me.

35. Also a sidenote, yes, Hope does sell… I hope that whenever they get bounced in the first round embarrassingly that I am so numb from the freaking vodka that I don’t care.😂😂😂😂😂

36. DK, Raul from Brazil here, do you think that the offensive line has one of the most cronical issues of the team ever since Mike Munchak left, and that makes the team issues on offense looks even worse?

37. Idk.. like I’m not counting them out just yet, but the last 3 losses just seemed super bad. The chiefs was the most disappointing because it’s like we gave up and weren’t even trying after the first quarter. If we can bounce back this week then I’ll feel good. If we lose I’m gonna have very low expectations to win in playoffs..
