Indianapolis Colts – Gus Bradley says performance versus Giants “embarrassing.” Says ALL are guilty

Gus Bradley might be a defensive coordinator whose scheme bothers you, but as a human being, Bradley checks all the boxes.

  1. “This last week gives us a chance to get things right”?!!! Get what right??!? Against the jags you think you are going to solve all of your problems.. this defensive roster outside buck and Moore all suck

  2. Honestly Gus was the only coach this season that made adjustments the defense actually improved and played well for many weeks and I’ve been calling for the firing of Gus Bradley since last season. I still think Gus Bradley should be fired but he is just a small piece of a larger puzzle. Irsay, Ballard, Steichen, Bradley and everyone in between should be held accountable. And half the players on the team should be 3rd team elsewhere. This is not a winning organization and trying to build what we had years ago has cost this team years of good football. There may never be another Bill Polian who built through the draft and made little moves in free agency. There may never be another “good guy” Christian coach like Dungy. There may never be another Peyton Manning and the winning mentality that team had. There’s a thousand ways to build a winning team and we’re stuck looking for one that may never be replicated.

  3. Excuses are not good enough….Three years of lousy Defense, enough is enough. Teach tackling, say what, teach fundamentals, aren't these guys pro's? Colts are 7 – 9 it's to late to talk about teaching!

  4. I like guss at least he's legit unlike the word salads we get from Shane and got from frank. Would've like to see what a Bradley led defense looked like during the Shaq Leonard years. He'll land on his feet

  5. Ballard's temerity is just nauseating. I am not looking forward to his year-end press conference. Irsay needs to cut this off at the head before we have to listen to it and proceed to spit up a bit of vomit.

  6. Kent, I think you could learn something from Gus in this response. You always piss and moan about the scheme. You blame the scheme, regardless of if the problem was player effort, player decision, overall execution, or the play call. None of those things are a scheme issue. The scheme is the problem when all of those things, and more, go right, and it still fails.

I don't know how you can watch that game and believe that a scheme change would alter the game in any way. If the 85 Bears played with the effort and execution our players did, they would not be remembered today at all, because they would have been beaten like a drum too.

  7. Can’t wait for Franklin and Speed’s next podcast calling every ex player and media personality calling them whatever for not being about the team and not having the teams best interest and not us being true fans cause we are talking shit about them but to hell with them two I’m sick of their shit and their bullshit views! Good players but shitty ass takes on being a captain of this team! Almost everyone is correct no accountability from either one of those two! Ready to see them two assholes leave town! Pat is right entitled bums!

  8. Listening to this sounds like a man that is a good leader. Starting to wonder if Shane is a leader with all of this continuing to say it’s on him…. Gus kind of sounds like he is saying opposite than Shane to make a point.

  9. Well if we had Sherlock Holmes studying the evidence he would uncover the culprits and turn them over to be dealt with. But Holmes is a fictional character and in reality there is far more uncertainty and you may end up not knowing fully who is to blame. At the top if you at least agree that you replace the GM then decide whether the GM or the Head Coach is in charge that person makes a plan. The plan in place the discussion goes along the lines of who fits or doesn't fit the plan. Nothing personal. Gus Bradley is a good man with good work ethics and have been around doing that in the NFL for some time. May not fit the plans going forward however. That is yet TBD.

  10. Great question, Kent. I wonder about the mentality of players now compared to the past. It does seem there is a lack of athletic maturity compared to the Manning era roster. I personally think Gus brings more substance than Steichen. When Shane dismissed culture problems, he lost me cause there obviously is. To deny it is an indication that it’s not going to improve.
