  2. Great episode guys! Happy New Year!

    I think the offseason in its current state is shuffling deck chairs. I am excited for Ortiz and Cecconi to develop with the team, and see where the guys make their organizational debut.

    Right now it feels like Manzardo and Brito would get the 2019 Roberto Perez playing time bump, where the FO got some credit for clearing the path for Robo to play everyday.

    I would want to see a few more moves, because the team does feel incomplete. The rumored interest in Hays feels like a Lane trade would be hand in hand with it.

    A couple questions for the mailbag:

    1. Who is the most likely to turn into a league average player: Freeman, Arias, Brennan?
    2. Who is the most likely to regress in the bullpen?: Smith, Gaddis, Herrin, Clase?
    3. Call your shot, breakout minor leaguer this year (In an Angel Genao type of way)

  4. I don't get the making up for one player with two argument. Manzardo was already on the team in the playoffs. Plus David Fry will be out for awhile so you're really trying to make up for Fry and Naylor with Manzardo and Santana. At best, it's a wash. We are very good against LHP though.

  7. I think that's the most interesting part of the two major trades that hasn't been talked about all the much. Santana is such a different player than Naylor. And whoever replaces Andres will be, as well. I wonder if the FO had a shift in valuing certain 1B/2B traits over others… or if they were just desperate to get more pitching depth and saw a way to get that while also getting similar/equal (though different) value to backfill 1B/2B. Maybe a combination of both?
