Now, i would have done that transaction.
I'm sure it was Carolina that turned that one down.
Necas was only willing to sign 2 years extension so he can be a UFA and choose his destination. Pesce was a pending UFA and is now at NJ. There is a good chance we lose Pesce at free agency and Necas in 2 years. It is the unpredictability of both players that needs to be considered as well.
no body will take ep for that kind of contract! they way hes been playing!
No doubt about it Canucks should have made this trade. Necas and Pettersson may end up being a wash but Pesce and draft picks as well? Definitely a would have could have should have scenario.
Necas is European, so it would only be a matter of time before he hit a slump and some fans would lose their minds. Fans want more toxic personalities like Miller, who think it's their place to berate teammates and forget what their own job is on the ice.
Necas also plays on the 3rd line and 2nd PP unit. You put him with Miller and Hughes on the top PP and a line with someone who isn’t named Jesperi and he gets 100 points plus.
Beg a guy to sign for over $11 mil and be part of their future, half a year later wishes him gone for a bag of chips….thats Nucks fans for ya
Hope EP gets out of that dumpster fire. They can keep Miller😂
Think Carolina actually would be a great team to go to….or possibly Minnesota….imagine EP and Kaprizov together
Miller going after Pettersson to try and make him be more physical is trying to get a deer be more like a lion. You can't change a person's personality or demenour. Pettersson is more like the Sedins more of a calm and intelligent player. Telling him to go out and start hitting people and be tougher is not in his DNA. I don't understand what Miller is not understanding. It seems Miller dosen't stay too long with one team. He seems to wear out his stay wherever he goes. This is on management to think that they were going to have Miller go and try and turn Pettersson into a more intimidating player. The end result is that Miller has to go and get another physical 2 way player in return. Or do like us buddies used to do go out for a night on the town and hug it out. There are only 2 solutions.
So stupid no one wants petey to soft hurt feelings
