Think you’re reading this wrong. The “after firing coach” bit is confusing but refers to them letting Richardson go before the WC.
The Bruins got Bannister fired.
Luke Richardson was fired on 12/6/24 after the hawks lost to the Bruins 4-2 on 12/4.
Their new coach, Anders Sorensen, was brought on after that and his first game was 12/7/24 against the jets.
Not to say the GM wasn’t happy with the performance of the hawks following the WC, but the Blues didn’t necessarily get Richardson fired.
