Pretty dumb to try to execute 2 outdoor games in Florida in the same year and not just have the two Florida teams play each other.
Really hope they can predict the weather correctly 1 year in advance and the ice doesn’t turn into a slushy.
I’d imagine Tampa would be getting the Winter Classic since we’ve already played a stadium series game. Bettman made the comment last year that theyve been perfecting the plan for an ODR game to be played in Florida so it would make sense that it would be Raymond James as opposed to Miami which has a retractable roof.

Tampa should play at the Trop! That counts as an outdoor game right??
Willing to bet it would involve Tampa but will be at Camping World stadium in Orlando bc it’s still central to their market.
An in state game between the two teams at the citrus bowl or RayJay is all I want. Just don’t put it in Miami.
This has disaster written all over it
Everybody keeps saying Marlins stadium is an outdoor game but it’s in a stadium with a retractable roof. You COULD MAYBE consider it outdoors but realistically they’ll probably close it if this happens, which negates the whole “outdoor hockey game” business. Although I suppose they could freeze the ice then just open it up last minute. Big ol’ cop out IMO.
At the trop, vs the Sens. Both teams wearing 1993 uniforms. Time to update that largest indoor attendance record.
